Vega Village Apt B-50
About the home
Penthouse apartment on the top 4th floor of a stunning, ultra modern design, beach front complex, with magnificent panoramic Black sea views. There are four private terraces, with stunning skyline views of the Balkan Mountains to the north and the black sea, new private Marina and Infinity swimming pools to the South. The Apartment faces South, but also has views to the West and North, and has sun all day long. The views are Magnificent. You will not be dissapointed ! All my previous guests over the last three years, have been very pleased with the apartment, please see the comments section below.
The Apartment has direct access to a new 300 yacht berth private Marina development. This is the first private Marina in Bulgaria and has been featured on national Bulgarian Television. Within the Marina are exclusive restaurants, shops, a five star hotel and an open air modern theme Bar. It is the new Monte Carlo / Sandbanks of Bulgaria - very glamorous, but very expensive ! Try Vlas village for much cheaper prices !
The apartment is in the best position on the complex to view the glamour of the Marina, enjoy the stunning sea views, keep an eye on the kids in the pool, and appreciate the refreshing mountain air blowing in through the open plan kitchen balcony. It is an extremely bright apartment, with three exterior walls with floor to ceiling windows.
This is the only complex in Bulgaria which has direct access to both a stunning 2km long wide sandy beach and a private Marina complex.
The apartment is fully furnished, and has a King sized double Bed in the main bedroom, two Single beds in the second bedroom, and a Double and Single bed sofa settee in the Living room. It sleeps a maximum of 6. It has a DVD player, CD player, TV, Fridge, Electric Hob & Oven & a Microwave oven. The apartment has air conditioning. It has one Bathroom (bath & shower) and one Cloakroom (wc & basin).
The apartment now has a new WASHING MACHINE fitted, and a new secure wall mounted SAFE, which are not standard in Bulgarian holiday apartments.

The Black Sea Coast region

Nearby Nessebar Peninsular and the town of Sozopol date back more than 1000 years. They are both facinating places to visit ! They both have narrow cobbled streets, lovely architecture and fantastic views. Nessebar has many old fashioned shops with cheap modern clothing, leather goods and local paintings for sale to name but a few. The Counrtyside is beautiful and quite like the UK in appearence, only a little dryer. Sozopol is wounderful to visit, with lovelly buildings, restaurants and beach.
Bourgas city is about 40 mins drive away to the South. It has plenty of modern shops, restaurants and outside cafes.
If you fancy a drive into the Balkan mountains it is only a 15 min car ride to the foot of the mountains ! From here you can journey northwards towards Varna, a large coastal city, about one and a half hours drive.
The Climate: July and August average temperature is 34 C ( Note - can be upto 43 C on some days! ); May & Sept - 23-30 C; Oct - 20 C; the winter is cold and lasts from Nov - March.
Bulgaria is a stunning country and a car is advised to make the most of the sights, although there are plenty of good tours availiable. I would reccomend the Jeep safari to the Mountains on the border of Turkey.
Turkey is about 2 hrs drive, Romania is about 3.5 hrs drive. Sofia the capital is about 5 hrs drive. It is strongly advised to fly to Bourgas and not Sofia, due to the distance.
The rental rates for St Vlas are currently on a par with Sunny Beach - but this is likely to change next year for properties positioned on the Marina.
The St Vlas / Vega area
The apartment block sits on quite a reasonable size fine sandy beach, with food and drink sales, a SCUBA Diving centre and an "Hawaii" style drinks shack. The water is non tidal, very clear and safe to swim in.
The area is lovely and safe to walk around, especially the beach and marina, day and night.
There is also a very modern open air luxury Bar on the Marina "Planet Yacht", which is perfect for relaxing whilst looking at Boats, Yachts, the black sea and for people watching.
Fish is fresh and beautiful. The vegetables and fruit are all completely organic; Bulgarian soil has never had any fertiliser or pesticides used, because the farmers could not afford to use them in the past. Tesco & Asda varieties taste like rubber compared to these examples - gorgeous !!
However, at the moment, the prices of food and drink are still very cheap, but visit soon as the prices are increasing. This is a cheap glamour Holiday !! I am not kidding - I've just extended my stay by 1 week due to this ! The Bulgarians are very good and glamourous dressers - its not what you would first imagine. (Extremely interesting for people watchers !!)
The Marina, Restaurants, Shops, Beaches, Yacht bar, Beach bar, Doctors surgery, Hire Boats, Sea Taxis and Diving Centre are all within a few mins walk from the apartment, as it is directly on the beach and the Marina. St Vlas village is 10 - 15 mins walk away and has a traditional Bulgarian atmosphere with great cheap restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.
There are five local Supermarkets within mins walk, three very near the complex and two in St Vlas with plenty of choice and very cheap alcoholic drinks.
SVETI VLAS is a quiet family resort built arround a small traditional Bulgarian fishing village. Situated 5km from Sunny beach the largest coastal resort on the Black Sea Coast in Bulgaria, with many and varied activities.
Sveti Vlas is a traditional Bulgarian village, with cheap food and drink prices. For example ; 90p for a draft pint of Lager. £2 for a large pizza, local dishes are even cheaper !!
There is a State owned holiday village still in existance (many were located in this area in the days of communism) although disused, in Sveti Vlas. Bulgarian and Russians previously came to this area because of the unique air - 16 hrs Balkan Mountain fresh air, 8 hrs Sea air. Locals have told me that their symptoms of Astma have disappeared after a few weeks in the area, due to the Eco Climate created by the mountains acting as a barrier to all pollution. I agree with this myself, after 1 month there in June 2008 !
There is a new open air Ampitheatre which has just been finished, only 10 mins walk away, where you can watch open air concerts, plays and other entertainment.
SUNNY BEACH is less than 5 kms away by Taxi, Shuttle Bus or you can take a pleasant walk along the beach. The Shuttle Bus runs regularly and is very cheap, and the pick up point is only 5 mins walk from the apartment.
There are two large water Fun parks in nearby Sunny Beach - brilliant fun for all the family !! (5 Kms)
Also in Sunny Beach there is quite a large outdoor Go Cart track with quite fast petrol carts at very reasonable prices !

Bourgas airport is only 40 mins transfer time to the apartment.
Flight prices vary from £70 all inclusive in October and May to £200 - £300 in the high season. Average is about £170. As an example, I have just booked a flight at the end of September for 3 weeks stay, the price for a return flight including all taxes, charges and baggage supplements etc is GBP 67.00 !! I have 8 friends coming over at the same time as flights have suddenly become so cheap with the airline I use.
Early booking is definitely recommeded with flights these days, as the price is highly likely to be hiked close to departure dates.
Call me to find out where to get the cheapest fares.
Car Hire is typically Euro 30 per day for a small budget car with Air Con. I know a good hire company, tried and tested, who I can recommend.

Hi Nick
Have just about got sorted after returning from our holiday in your apartment.
We had a fab time, the area, as you said, was breathtaking. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
Everything ran to schedule perfectly, flights, taxi etc.
The apartment was great for taking in the views and people watching as well as being able to always get some shade or sunshine at all times.
We had lots of conversations with other people who had apartments at Vega and they gave us lots of handy hints and tips.
The trip to Nessebar was good although we had to go via Sunny Beach on the way back due to choppy waters!
We also had the pleasure of experiencing one of Bulgarias storms which made good filming from the kitchen balcony.
We made a real effort to look after the apartment and leave it in a clean respectable manner when we departed. We mopped the floors, emptied the fridge and disposed of all rubbish, along with cleaning the toilets. We treated it like our home for 2 weeks, so we obviously felt relaxed but respected the apartment too.
The only noise we experienced was from Karaoke and a row by the poolside at about 5 in the morning...but that was from our fellow brits!!
The children enjoyed the nightly firework display from over Sunny Beach way. Great views!
The above issues did not have any impact on our holiday though and we all loved our time at Vega Village. We didn't have to fight for sunbeds at all and infact we had the same beds for the 2 weeks, which is unheard of! The pools were fab and our 4 year old daughter really came on with her swimming..a width of the big pool without arm bands!!
Food was great and our best restaurants were Central and Triumph. The service at Triumph was impeccable and the play facilities for the children was great.
We would look at returning and maybe with friends next time around so they can experience Bulgaria for themselves.
Thank you for allowing us to spend time in your apartment and for all your advice along the way. Your assistance in the run up to our holiday was invaluable and helped us to make the holiday a memorable one.
Thanks again Nick
Kind regards
Debbie
