Prestigous, private development, pool, car parking, 24-hour security and restaurant next door A luxury, beachfront apartment on a small, private residence. A total of 27 apartments distributed across two buildings overlook a private pool and the beach. This type of property is rare and sought after, as most developments in the area are of maximum size to accommodate the needs of package holiday companies. The apartment is spacious, light and contemporary and fully equipped to a very high standard - ideal for a self-catering holiday. The apartment is located on the top (third) floor, benefiting from superb views over the pool, beach, marina and out to the world heritage site, Nessebar. The small size and privacy of the development, its beachfront location, with no through road / passing traffic in front of the apartments has many advantages. The Black Sea Coast region
The Black Sea coast region is located in the far east of Bulgaria between Romania to the north and Turkey to the south. The coast is lined with magnificent white sandy beaches making for an excellent holiday destination. Settlement dates back to the 2nd Century AD and evidence of its rich history and cultural past can still be seen today. Saint Vlas (Sveti Vlas) is a seaside village situated at the southern foothills of the Balkan mountain range 35km north of the trawler port of Burgas and approximately 90km south or the Riviera town of Varna. A short distance to the south is Sunny Beach (5km) and the ancient town of Nessebar (9km).
The main tourist season runs between May and late September during which time the days are generally very warm and sunny with a gentle sea breeze. Owing to its favourable climatic conditions, it is preferred to many first-rate resorts in Europe and North Africa.
The white sandy beaches are clean and most of them have been awarded the EU Blue Flag. The sea is non-tidal making the water calm and a pleasant temperature. This combined with the fact the water is less salty than the Mediterranean makes swimming both safer and more enjoyable for both children and adults.
The cost of living in Bulgaria is still very low which means you can have a fabulous, yet great value holiday e.g. Food and drink, car hire, clothing, souvenirs.
St Vlas area
Saint Vlas forms part of the ‘Bulgarian Riviera’ and combines a traditional Bulgarian village with more recent apartment developments. The hillside resort has developed as a more upmarket and less crowded alternative to the mass tourism associated with nearby Sunny Beach.
EATING DRINKING AND ENTERTAINMENT The apartment is located next to the Neptune restaurant, a traditional Bulgarian restaurant overlooking the beach, (also catering for more western tastes) with a wonderfully relaxed and laid back atmosphere. 75 metres up the hill, towards the centre of Vlas is the Berlin Hotel, with a modern European based restaurant serving meals such as pizza, pasta etc Further into Saint Vlas there are a multitude of restaurants, snack bars and street stalls serving delicious Bulgarian, European and Oriental foods. The newly opened marina at Saint Vlas (300m along the beach from the apartment) provides for a more stylish / exclusive night out. It has a number of boutique shops, restaurants, trendy bars and night clubs.
DAY TRIPS / ACTIVITIES Saint Vlas has several sandy beaches offering pedaloes, jet skis, windsurfs etc.
The marina offers various local boat trips and cruises, including trips to Sunny Beach and Nessebar (wonderful if your planning an evening trip to explore the town). Several excursions depart from the new marina including pirate ship cruises and fishing trips. Boats can also be hired privately.
Sunny Beach is situated just around the bay and is renowned for its lively bars, night clubs and restaurants. There are also many family orientated activities including mini-golf, trampolining, bucking broncos and bungee rockets. Street traders are plentiful offering arts and crafts, face painting, portraits and hair braiding at reasonable prices.
The ancient town of Nessebar, a UNESCO world heritage site, lies on a peninsular 9 km from Saint Vlas and can be accessed by boat from the marina, or by bus or taxi. The narrow cobbled streets are a delight, crammed with beautiful old timber and stone buildings, ruined Byzantine churches and ancient monuments. The town provides a romantic setting for an evening meal at one of its many restaurants overlooking the sea, with views across the bay to Saint Vlas and Sunny Beach.
Sozopol, the oldest Greek colony on the Black Sea coast is located approximately 70 km south of St Vlas. It is a beautiful town dramatically located on a headline that stretches out into the sea. The city has a wealth of architecture, with cobbled streets, ancient houses, impressive beaches and restaurants with stunning views. There are regular excursions from St Vlas to Sozopol.
Varna, a riviera town, and one of Bulgaria's most animated metropolis offers a wide range of sights and museums. Its most notable cultural attraction is the annual Varnensko Iyato (Varna summer) a summer long festival of classical music, folklore and Jazz which attracts world class performers.
There are two Aqua Parks locally, one at Sunny Beach and one Nessebar. Free bus services shuttle passengers to both of them from bus stops across Saint Vlas.
Other activities include: Coach trips to Istanbul, off road adventures, horse riding, air-rifle shooting, archery, horse and cart site seeing tours, a Bulgarian village tour: An excellent opportunity to gain a better insight into Bulgarian folklore, music and customs.

We really enjoyed our holiday. The apartment is in a superb location right next to the beach but peaceful and away from it all. We loved the apartment as it's extremely comfortable, light and airy with very modern, chic furniture and fittings. Pete and Alex. England
