Home description

This condo is brand new (2007) about 5min of walk from beach. It is part of gated vacation village Persani, consisting of 7 buildings with 5 condos in each one. The village has it's own gated parking, pool, BBQ area. Condo has air-conditioner, kitchenette, washer/dryer. Bedroom has full bed. Living room has folding sofa that sleeps 2. There is a TV. Black sea view from every room. Each room has its private balcony. Condo footage is 700 sq. ft (70m^2). Persani village is located just on a border of St. Vlas and Sunny Beach - close enough to walk to Sunny Beach and old Nessebar, and yet hidden away from crowds and congestion. This particular location is famous for its air quality, which is good for lungs.

The village has a restaurant and general store in a building nextdoor. So if you are planning to never leave the grounds - it's possible. The village is located right on the border of Sunny Beach (lots of people and nightlife) and St.Vlas - somewhat more upscale place with largest yacht harbor in Bulgaria, nice restaurants, less crowds.

The historic old town Nessebar is only 5km away along the beach.

The Black Sea Coast region

St. Vlas Holiday Village is located on the Black Sea coast at the foot of the south slopes of the Balkan Mountains.
Sv Vlas lies at the northern end of a bay which has Sunny Beach, a resort with more then 150 hotels in its middle and the ancient town of Nesebar at its southern end.
The village is located in close vicinity to Bourgas- 40 km, Nessebar- 8 km, Sunny Beach - 4 km.

A settlement was founded at the present place of Sveti Vlas in the 2nd century AD by the Thracians, then called Larissa. It acquired the name Sveti Vlas in the 14th century after Saint Blaise, a monastery dedicated to whom existed in the region, but was burnt down in the 14th-18th century by consecutive pirate raids. During the Ottoman rule of Bulgaria, it was known as Kücük manastir or simply Manastir ("monastery"), while the name Sveti Vlas became official after 1886. The settlement became a climatic sea resort in 1963 and a town on 2 February 2006.

Sv Vlas has grown as a tourist resort in recent times, serving as a quieter alternative to nearby Sunny Beach. The gap between the two places is shrinking as more hotels are built along the coast.
The excellent combination of mountains and sea turns St Vlas into a holiday village with unique climate favorable to the curative climate influence on diseases of the lungs. The beach strips are more then 3 km long in total and 15 to 40 m wide on average.


St Vlas area

Since this condo is located on the border of St.Vlas and Sunny Beach, below is some info on Sunny Beach.

Sunny Beach is a resort on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located approximately 35 km north of Burgas in Nesebar municipality, Burgas Province. It is the biggest and most popular holiday resort of the country, and is home to over 150 hotels with more than 70 000 beds. There are also 140 restaurants and numerous live music bars, pubs, nightclubs, discos, cafes.In recent years almost the whole hotel base has been renovated and several new luxurious hotels have been built as well as many spectacular apartment complexes.

Sunny Beach during the summer is a choice for vacation for thousands of tourists. The main strip of high-rise hotels backing onto the beach is several kilometres long and extends along a wide bay between Sveti Vlas and Nesebar.

The climate of the area is Mediterranean, explaining Sunny Beach's popularity with tourists since before the fall of communism. Since that time the resort's popularity has grown among German holidaymakers, who add to the already large numbers of Bulgarian and Russian visitors. More recently, Sunny Beach has begun to attract the attention of British and Scandinavian tourists, for whom it is a more affordable alternative to the established Mediterranean resorts.

Attractions for tourists include the beach, watersports, nightlife, and the nearby historical site of Nesebar. Sunny Beach is mainly popular among young people. The Golden Orpheus International Festival of Popular Song, the Decade of Symphonic Music, part of the International Folklore Festival, fashion-shows and various beach competitions are held there.


How to get there

The condo is located right on the border of Sunny Beach and St.Vlas, Bulgaria. The best way is to fly to Burgas and take taxi (10 miles) to Sunny Beach/St. Vlas. One can also get there on a bus. If you are renting a car, then fly to Varna, drive 50 miles south towards Burgas to Sunny Beach/St.Vlas. The highway is only half a mile away from condos and beach. In the summer it is possible to fly to Burgas. It's nice to have a car while there, but it's not a must. Everything is within walking distance. There is general store and restaurant nextdoor

It's a nice condo with separate stair case to the second floor. Both living room and bedroom have a balcony. There is a nice seaview from both. Bedroom has full bed for two. Living room has a folding sofa that sleeps two. Kitchenette has all utensils, stove, fridge, etc. There is a washer/dryer for your clothes. You will also have towels and linens repared.

And so, if you want to be away from the noise and crowds of Sunny Beach, but not too far from it - that's you place. If you are looking for privacy - you'll have your own separate entrance to a sea view condo with private gated parking. This vacation village consists of 5 3-story modern buildings, which were just large lawn and shared pool/BBQ area. Most of the people living there are actually condo owners themselves from USA, UK, Russia, Turkey.

Further details outdoors:
Unlike most Sunny beach places you'll find here a large grass lawn, trees, space in general. It is much less crowded and more relaxed that Sunny beach. There is a communal pool and BBQ area too. The parking is inside and entire village area is gated and guarded.

Smoking is only permitted on the balcony. Pets are not allowed, sorry. The place was not equipped for toddler safety (sockets, furniture), so if you bring a toddler - it's at your own risk. No wheelchair access.
