This luxury penthouse apartment is built within a brand new, modern complex that offers a full range of holiday essentials from swimming pools and tennis courts to sauna, jacuzzi and a private gym.

The apartment has the unusual benefit of having two balconies which means that both the morning and evening sun can be enjoyed from your holiday base. The balcony at the rear looks over the tennis court, whilst the front balcony looks over the interesting feature pool and out to the beautiful coastline and sea.

Each bedroom has its own separate air conditioning and the apartment boasts two pristine bathrooms - one for each bedroom. The living area consists of a large open plan lounge, a dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen. This space is also airconditioned and tastefully furnished with french doors opening out onto the main balcony overlooking the pool.

The complex itself is new for 2006 with the designers setting new standards for holiday centres in the area. There are 4 pools, a tennis court, plenty of options for eating and drinking, private access to the local beach, 24 hour security, on site masseuse and a concierge service to assist residents when required.

The Black Sea Coast region

St Vlas enjoys a warm summer with temperatures commonly in the mid 20s with blue skies being the norm.

Sunny Beach is eastern Europe's most established coastal resort and has an outstanding beach, bars restaurants and plenty of nightlife. People tend to be surprised by just how nice this resort is, but it actually used to be the traditional holiday destination of the Russian Tsars.

Just around the coast is Nessebar, a traditional old fishing village full of traditional Bulgarian buildings, architectural ruins, market stalls and some of the best restaurants in the area.

St Vlas area

Most people opt for a a couple of days at Sunny Beach or a trip there for the nightlife. Taxis are very cheap and there's usually one ready by the complex to take you into town for about £6.

St Vlas and the surrounding areas also have a number of less commercial restaurants and bars. They still do traditional shows in some and it is worth trying to visit one where they perform traditional dances and close the night with a demonstration of walking on coal.

Nessebar is a short taxi drive away.

Bulgarian food is variable, but goes down well with people who like their servings big. Either way prices are so low that even the most expensive restaurants are still very cheap by UK standards.

The sunny beach area also has water parks, and outdoor gokarting track and horse riding.

"Bulgaria has been a real surprise. The beaches are beautiful, as good as any I have visited in Europe and the ruins at Nessebar are well worth a visit. As for the prices! Money goes a long way so we lived like kings!
The apartment was great, quiet and comfortable and so roomy. The aircon was a relief since it was so hot for our visit as was the pool. Having such a large balcony looking over the pool gave an extra chilling point."
