Ideal for family break, or a group of friends, the Maison d'Amont is surrounded by fields and has a fabulous open view over mountains and the Serre Ponçon lake. There are no near neighbours, and endless space for kids to run around and let off steam.

You can hike straight from the house into the majestic larch forests behind. The area is a hotspot for outdoor activities, there is a world reknowned paragliding site just down the road, white water sports on the Ubaye river, boating and swimming in the lake, and you can take a chairlift up the mountain to hike or mountain bike. There are forts, churches and museums to visit, and plenty of music festivals and village fêtes if you want to party in the evening.

You'll have absolute peace and quiet at the house - our visitors are always amazed at how well they sleep! 1/2 a mile away is the small ski resort of St Jean Montclar, which has various shops and bars, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a good programme of organised activities for adults and children alike.
