St Tropez / Port Grimaud area
Port Grimaud was built in the late 1960's on land reclaimed from the marshes at the head of the Gulf of St Tropez. Explore Port Grimaud on foot along the many paths beside the canals and over the Venetian style bridges finding many cafe's and restaurants to rest awhile and observe yachts and boats arrive and depart all day.
Or perhaps avoid driving to St Tropez and take one of the shuttle passenger boats arriving directly into the "vieux Port" seeing the super yachts as you approach from the sea then walk the narrow medieval streets, some window shopping, avoiding the Port "front" eat & drink surprisingly reasonably before taking your return boat back to Port Grimaud (can also be done from Ste Maxime).
