A beautiful, well equipped Villa across the road from the beach. One minute from the local Spar, walking distance to eight restaurants and two take away pizzerias. The Villa has been modernised and wants for nothing. Heated pool( heat exchanger) 11m x 4m. Electric cover for safety for kids. the pool sits immediately in front of the house so it's easier to watch the kids.The garden is completely secure with a keypad for exit and entry. The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
The cote d'azur is so named because of the constant blue skies. Rain is a rarity even in the winter months. The off season in Gigaro is often the best. The beaches are empty, the walks through the adjacent nature reserve are beautiful. In the springtime the whole area is awash with flowers and the beautiful smells coming from them. The sea can be cold but our heated pool can cool you down if it gets too hot. The season starts early, at Easter time the local shops and restaurants begin their season. The area is very mature and feels like a garden paradise. Equally the end of the season September and October is magnificent. Get the kids back to school and come and enjoy the late summer sun and the calm of the late summer.Most of the locals swim in the sea until at least the end of October.
St Tropez area
GIgaro is situated in an area known as the Presqu 'isle de St Tropez and it is one of the most beautiful and glamorous regions of the South of France. Not stuffy and pompous but discreet and relaxed. The beach restaurants of Pampleonne are only 15 mins way and at any one moment you could be mixing with Princes, Pop stars, politicians or the worlds most famous sports stars. When you have had enough of the people watching or the sound of champagne corks popping is too much, you can retreat back to the calm and tranquility of Gigaro beach. There are five restaurants on the beach in front of the Villa, ranging from fresh sea food to burgers at the bar and just about everything in between.Sailing school within 20m of the garden. The snorkelling in the rocks in the nature reserve is second to none. You can even feed bread to the fishes and swim amongst them.
How to get there
The nearest sirport is St Tropez/La Mole but there are very few flights, mainly private or from Switzerland. Nice is the best, more choice good prices, flights year round and the best route to the Villa. Easyjet, Bmibaby, British Airways etc all fly to Nice which is about an hour and a half away. Other options in peak season are Toulon, 11/2 hr or Marseille 2hrs. Those with more time of course can drive through France which is always interesting. There is plenty of car hire at all the airports.

Further details indoors: The pictures will say more. The best feature is the huge downstairs covered terrace with seating for about 20. The house is fully equipped and within walking distance of just about everything. We only use the car when we go to Nikki beach on pampleonne or St Tropez, other than that everything is on the doorstep. The beach is 15m away but the vIlla has a pool so sometimes even that is an effort. If you can't be bothered to cook stroll over the road to one of the adjacent five restaurants or buy a cooked chicken from the spar. Not enough choice, walk a bit further and find another three restauarants or get a take away Pizza from over the road.
Further details outdoors: In the front garden the swimming pool is surrounded by 220m2 of hardwood decking. there are six teak sun loungers anaround the pool and four plastic ones on the upstairs terrace with sea views. The garden is full of beautiful shrubs and flowers. There is an outside solar shower . There is ample parking with covered sunshade parking for two cars. There are also some excercise bars for a bit of shaping up for the beach.
Further details
Welcome pack provided on arrival. The swimming pool is available year round and is heated by a heat exchanger. The temperature it gets to is determined by the outside ambient temperature. It was only installed last year so we can't determine exactly when it will get warm. We were using it happily at the beginning of May last year. At this time of year the sea is freezing but it is usually very hot so a heated pool is a great bonus.

Strictly no pets No smoking in house but downstairs covered terrace is OK. Refundable breakages deposit of £1000 before arrival,by cheque, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). 30% deposit required to secure booking, balance due six weeks before arrival.
