The ideal french getaway on the Golfe de Saint-Tropez!

Our new 3 bedroom property completed in early 2011 is located in the village of 'La Mole' which is situated amongst the rural picturesque hills but still being close to all the fabulous beaches and water sports that the Cote d'Azur has to offer. If you are not a beach person then you may enjoy relaxing by the shared pool or taking advantage of the many walks/sightseeing/golfing or many more activities that the area has to offer.

The property is centrally located within 'La Mole' only taking a couple of minutes walk to the centre of the village giving access to the local restaurants (one being the famous and favourite celebrity haunt the L'Auberge de la Mole). There is also a bakery and an excellent small supermarket for all your basic needs and more. Only 5km down the road is the larger town of Cogolin where there are many more restaurants, shops and a large supermarket.

The property benefits from being air conditioned throughout. Upstairs the property has three bedrooms available, two doubles and one twin with a separate bathroom and a separate shower/WC room. On the ground floor there is WC/Cloakroom along with a fully equipped kitchen going through to a comfortable lounge and dining area with triple french doors leading onto a private and secluded south facing terrace and large private garden with gorgeous views of the hills and beyond. A beautiful setting for a spot of al fresco dining or reclining on a sun lounger catching the rays!

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region

Welcome to the Var, a vast rich area with wild inland beauty and a breath-taking coastline, where cafe terraces are shaded by plane trees and the warm air is filled with the gentle perfumes of lavender, jasmine, rosemary, thyme, mimosas, pine....the houses throw open their painted shutters, markets bustle with life and the sun shines for most of the year. The landscape ranges from mountains and fields of lavender, wheat and sunflowers to perched villages, dramatic coastlines, family beaches, ultra-cool beaches, paradisic coves off the beaten track, never-ending hills, olive groves and of course the changing colours of the vines.

In this most enviable of positions, with the warm waters of the Mediterranean to the south, Italy to the east and the western reaches of the Alps to the north.

Jumping in your car and taking off in almost any direction will bring surprises and joy-filled outings. If you are a lover of the outdoors, then there could not be a finer place to discover nature at its most spectacular. If you just want to lie back, while the sun beats down overhead and the sea laps at your feet, the private beaches all along the coast, with their multicoloured mattresses, are just waiting for you. Many of these private beaches have fabulous restaurants where you can eat at the sea's edge.

St Tropez

La Mole is located 15 kms from St-Tropez , it is the ideal setting for anyone who loves the countryside but who still wants to be within easy reach of the beaches and coastal resorts. La Mole is a very calm village set at the edge of the 'Foret du Dom' forest. La Mole is particularly renowned for its private airfield where celebrities jet into due to its close proximity to St-Tropez. Locally, La Mole's fame is owed to the 11th century castle set on the hillside.

With so much to do and see in the surrounding area, here is just a brief guide!

La Mole:-

Not to be missed is a spectacular panoramic view from the top of the 'Col du Canadel' pass. To reach this point take the picturesque road which departs from La Mole and leads to the coast via Le Rayol-Canadel. Don't forget your camara for the picture postcard view!

Ideal for families, take a trip to the local 'Niagra' waterpark which is located at the Pachacaid holiday park only 5 minutes down the road.

Enjoy a rustic french dinner at the Michelin starred 'L'Auberge de la Mole' where celebrities can be found dining before flying out on their private jets.

St Tropez:-

Made famous in the 1960s by Brigitte Bardot, St Tropez is one of the most famous and sophisticated holiday resorts in the world, transformed every summer from a sleepy fishing village, to one of the hottest destinations in the world. The resort attracts celebrities from the world of music, movies and TV. A great place to sit, drink and people watch in one of the many bars alongside the picturesque port while taking in the luxury yachts and soaking in the atmosphere.

At night St Tropez comes alive with artists selling their paintings on the quayside, while the old quarter consists of narrow streets with many chic boutiques and restaurants.

A good morning out is the bustling provencal market that is held in the towns centre every Tuesday and Saturday.

Another place to visit would be the St Tropez Polo Club where on selected days of the year open days are held to enjoy this prestige sport whilst sipping on champagne.

For beaches you will need to head slightly out of town onto the Cap de St Tropez on the peninsula, where beach bars offer music, drinks, massage and beach beds to a 'cool' clientele. Beaches include Tahiti-Plage, Les Bronzes, Nikki Beach and of course the world famous Club 55, all good for celebrity spotting and rubbing shoulders with the stars!

Ste Maxime:-

Ste Maxime is a fashionable holiday resort on the bay of St Tropez with a long sandy beach and a colourful yachting harbour. The old quarter is reserved for pedestrians and is buzzing with restaurants, bars with live music and shops. There are ferry crossings to St Tropez which is a great way to visit.

For golfers there is a spectacular course located above Ste Maxime where you will enjoy a golfing experience and views not to be missed.

A great day out for the family would be to the Aqua Park located on the outskirts of Ste Maxime with a good selection of slides. Do not forget to visit the greatest sweet shop in the world located in the pedestrian passages.

Gassin:-

Voted one of the most beautiful villages of France, Gassin is a small but stunning village perched up on top of a hill offering a 360" views over the whole peninsula, on a clear day the white capped tops of the Alps Maritime can be seen. Appreciate this Medieval village with its ancient cobbled streets and old Medieval fortress, and enjoy the views as you dine in a small selection of restaurants in the square. Do not forget to book your restaurant of choice in peak season or you may be disappointed. An enchanting place not to be missed!

Cavalaire:-

Tucked away in a beautiful, sandy bay, Cavalaire is a pretty resort with a discreet family ambience. As night falls and pretty lights glitter in the streets, Cavalaire's local piano bars, ice-cream palours, cafe terraces and 'Maison de la Mer' promenade come alive to the sound of music.

You will love discovering the town's ancient coastal footpath with its backdrop of mimosa, pine and eucalyptus forests. Cavalaire is a great place for water sports with its wide bay offering jet ski, sailing, windsurfing and catamarans or maybe you fancy hiring out a motor boat for the day?

Other towns to visit which offer many things to see and do on the Golfe de St-Tropez are Cogolin, Port Cogolin, Grimaud, Port Grimaud, La Croix Valmer, La Garde Freinet, Le Plan de la Tour, Bormes les Mimosa, Ramatuelle. Monaco is only a 2 hour drive away.
