About the home

Springside is situated in a rural hamlet, and retains the charm and character of a traditional cottage, fully equipped with modern facilities. Sleeping 4 adults comfortably it is ideal for couples and families. Shops and the excellent local pub and restaurant are 1 mile away.
Within a short drive you will find several golf courses including Bowood Park, St Kew and St Enodoc. There is also course and lake fishing nearby, fantastic walks across Bodmin Moor and along the Coastal Path,and of course surfing on one of North Cornwall's many beaches. Alternatively visit Pencarow House and Gardens, just 10 miles from the cottage. Tintagel, Boscastle, Wadebridge, Padstow, Newquay and Bude are all within a 30 minute drive from the cottage. This part of Cornwall has so much to see and do, you will not be disappointed. At the end of the day it is a delight to return to the peace and tranquility of Springside, for a barbecue in the garden in the Summer, or during colder months, enjoy a cosy evening in front of the woodburner.

Heating provided by Oil fired rayburn in the kitchen and multi-fuel burner in the lounge, first basket of logs included. Electricity and Gas included in rental price.
Shower and toilet on ground floor, and family bathroom (bath, basin and toilet) on first floor.
An additional full size single bed is available in Bedroom 2 on request.

Garden furniture is provided on the decking. If the evenings are a little chilly, there is no need to miss out on the fresh air as there is also a shelter with a wood burner.

Due to the age of the cottage visitors should be aware that two of the doorways are lower than in modern houses and that there is a small step from the kitchen to the lounge

Cornwall is renowned for it's spectacular scenery, both coastal and inland. With many outdoor activities including surfing, golfing and walking, but also many places of historical interest to visit. In addition to the famous 'Fifteen' restaurant in Watergate Bay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant in Padstow, there are numerous excellent restaurants and pubs, however, a visit to Cornwall would of course not be complete without a taste of a traditional Cornish Pasty or a Clotted Cream Tea.

The St Teath / Newhall Green area

Local activities include surfing, walking, golfing & fishing, or visit Tintagel Castle, Boscastle, Doc Martin's Port Isaac and Pencarrow House. Local villages hold carnivals and festivals throughout the summer months.

“Fab cottage, loved the fire, good location, great communication” Springside is a lovely, traditional cottage very much in a country location. The kitchen was gorgeous and we loved the log fire. Perfect for a getaway winter or summer. Off road parking was a bonus and the outdoor space would be great in the summer Overall a fabulous stay
