Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Springside is situated in a rural hamlet, and retains the charm and character of a traditional cottage, fully equipped with modern facilities. Sleeping 4 adults comfortably it is ideal for couples and families. Shops and the excellent local pub and restaurant are 1 mile away.
There is so much to see and do for all ages within just a short drive of the cottage, including surfing, walking, golf and fishing. Local attractions at Bodmin, including Bodmin Jail and Pencarrow House, Port Isaac, and Wadebridge are all less than 12 miles, and St Austell, Padstow, Newquay and Bude are about 30 minutes away. And of course this area of Cornwall is renowned for the excellent food available in one of the many local restaurants and pubs. The only difficulty is choosing which one to go to!
Of the many beautiful beaches in North Cornwall, the closest to the cottage are Trebarwith Strand, Polzeath and Daymer Bay, all within a 10 minute drive. There are several excellent golf courses including Bowood Park, St Kew and St Enodoc nearby and other activities available locally such as kayaking, horse riding, or cycle along the Camel Trail. If you enjoy walking Camelford is one of the best locations from which you can access Bodmin Moor, or maybe walk from Polzeath or Daymer Bay along the footpath to Rock and take the ferry to Padstow for a well earned lunch before the returning.
There many other fantastic walks along the Coastal Path, or explore Helland Barton Woods located almost on the doorstep of the cottage.
At the end of the day it is a delight to return to the peace and tranquility of Springside, for a barbecue in the garden in the Summer, or during colder months, enjoy a cosy evening in front of the woodburner.

The Cornwall region
Cornwall is renowned for it's spectacular scenery, both coastal and inland. With many outdoor activities including surfing, golfing and walking, but also many places of historical interest to visit. In addition to the famous 'Fifteen' restaurant in Watergate Bay and Rick Stein's fish restaurant in Padstow, there are numerous excellent restaurants and pubs, however, a visit to Cornwall would of course not be complete without a taste of a traditional Cornish Pasty or a Clotted Cream Tea.
Local activities include surfing, walking, golfing & fishing, or visit Tintagel Castle, Boscastle, Doc Martin's Port Isaac and Pencarrow House. Local villages hold carnivals and festivals throughout the summer months.

"Fab cottage, loved the fire, good location, great communication"
Springside is a lovely, traditional cottage very much in a country location. The kitchen was gorgeous and we loved the log fire. Perfect for a getaway winter or summer.
Off road parking was a bonus and the outdoor space would be great in the summer
Overall a fabulous stay
