The area offers a wealth of cultural experiences as well as many sporting activities catering for all age groups, walking, jogging, running, cycling.

The nearby seaside town of Granville has something to offer the whole family. Apart from its beautiful beaches there are interesting museums to explore, including the house and gardens of Christian Dior, now a museum. There is also a good selection of restaurants and shops. A day trip to Jersey is also possible by ferry from the port. Golfers have the choice of two golf courses locally, a 9 hole course at Brehal and the 18 hole course at Granville.

Saint-Sauveur-la-Pommeraye

Villedieu-les-Poeles is famous for the manufacture of copper pans and bells and its museums offer an interesting insight into this long-standing industry. The town also has a large weekly market every Tuesday and an indoor swimming pool. A popular family outing is to the zoo at Champrepus, on the main road between Villedieu and Granville.

The property is situated in a very small village near Granville,12 km from the coast.

"A beautiful chateau in wonderful grounds within very peaceful setting"

This chateau is a must if you are looking for a larger venue with lots to do, the 3 acres of grounds are just beautiful, the house is lovely with some amazing space and the pool, the tennis court, the games room meant that everyone had something to enjoy. We took bikes as there are some great quiet routes to cycle around.
Didn't really end up going very far as this Chateau has it all.
If you're looking for the perfect house for a large family gathering, then we couldn't recommend this highly enough

"Holiday house that has it all"

We passed a fantastic week at this house with two other families with teenage children. It is really well set up - not only does it have a swimming pool (heated)l, tennis court and games room, but it has all the equipment to go with them - including tennis raquets, tennis balls etc, and loads of books and board games for the less active We brought a Wii in case the weather was bad but it didn't get much use. Lots to do in the area - the Normandy D-Day beaches are an easy drive as is Mont St Michel. The onsite managers are a real plus. We hope to be able to come back here again!
