The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region

Ideally situated for exploring the many beautiful well-known villages of the area including Bonnieux, Lacoste, Roussillon, Gordes, Menerbes, Rustrel, Saignon and Fontaine de Vaucluse. Visit a different market every day in the area including the famous Apt market or Isle sur le Sorgue, renowned for it's antiques. Travel a little further to the historic city of Avignon with it's magnificent Papal palace and bridge. 90 minutes wil get you to the Pont du Gard, Uzes, the Camargue or to the coast and Marseilles. The immediate area is also renowned for it's walking and cycle routes
The St Saturnin les Apt / La Pourraque area
The village of St Saturnin-les-Apt has a population of just over 2000 people, many of whom live here throughout the year, making it more vibrant out of season than some of it’s more touristy neighbours. It is a true Provencal village with lots of character. The skyline is dominated by a medieval ruined chateau and the 17th Century Windmill. Narrow streets, old stone houses, water fountains and a central square. There are bars, two hotels and restaurants. An excellent Charcuterie, two Boulangeries and a ‘Spar’ supermarket offer a wide variety of products and there is also a chemist, Post Office, cash machine and newsagent. The local co-operative Cave can be found in nearby Apt where you can buy your wine and asociated gifts.

Guestbook for Les Collines
A charming and most comfortable holiday home, very tastefully furnished. There are such splendid views over the Luberon with ample outside furniture for enjoying the terrace. An excellent base for visiting the many beautiful sites all around.
Gordon & Heather, April/May 2009
Having stayed at their apartment in Antibes, our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Equipped with everything needed to make your holiday enjoyable. In fact it is a home from home. The Luberon is a wonderful area. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.
John and Maureen, June 2009
Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. We have a great time in this lovely house and it's beautiful surroundings.
Bojan and Tamara, Slovenia, July 2009
Thank you for a good holiday in your beautiful gite. We have enjoyed it very much and hope your other guests will enjoy it too. Hope to come back another time
Andreas, Lars and Pia, Denmark, July 2009
Sue and Terry, this is a fantastically well equipped gite in a great area for sightseeing, walking and cycling. You have been superb hosts and we've thouroughly enjoyed our holiday. We certainly mean to return.
Lynne and Chris - July 2009
This week was exactly what we needed! Peaceful, relaxing, laid back and thoroughly enjoyable. Your fantastic gite has provided a great base from which to explore some of the local area (when we could peel ourselves from the sun loungers)
Matt and Michelle, Verchaix, August 2009
Thank you for being such excellent hosts. The gite was exactly as we had hoped and we shall not forget the twinkling lights of the Luberon plateau at night enjoying a glass (or two) of the local wine surrounded by the olive trees and cicadas. La Pourraque and your gite with commanding views, was ideally placed for a fantastic holiday in Provence. Our hire car covered over 2000 kms. We shall definitely be back to cycle up Mont Ventoux amongst other things. Thank you, we shall not hesitate to recommend you to our friends and family.
Lizzie and Nigel, Norfolk, September 2009
For many years we have talked about staying in Provence and finally after the long flight from Australia, we arrived at your lovely gite which has been a wonderful home for us as we have toured this picturesque area every day. Provence is so beautiful, so historic and so varied, the weather very kind and wonderful villages to explore and food to eat. It is a pleasure to return each evening to your gite for a cuppa, hot shower, peace and quiet and those superb views past the sparkling pool. Thank you Sue and Terry for your input and information when we have needed it. This has been a superb beginning to our Vacances en France.
Ruth and Graham, Sydney - June 2011
We have a wonderful 2 weeks here. The view in the daytime, the stars at night. The swimming pool when it was hot, the gite when it got dark. Our sincere compliments for the way we were accommodated here. A lovely fully equipped gite, a lovely garden. This was the life we hoped to be living: Comme le bon Dieu en France.
Syb and Marjan, Netherlands - July 2010
Well, what can I say. This gite is a perfect place to stay. Spotless, best equipped we have stayed and we have stayed in lots. Lovely area, plenty of places to go. Favourite Gordes and St Remy. Best market Wednesday morning St Remy. Lovely shops, special place. Thank you so much Terry and Sue. You are lovely people, nothing is too much trouble and you have made us most welcome.
June and Frank, Cheshire - June 2011
You’ve done it. Provided us with the best gite in Provence. We enjoyed staying here and meeting you. Your input and assistance was much appreciated. Thank you both and may you continue to prosper.
Suzanne and John, Nelson Bay, Australia - May 2011
We enjoyed the stay and Sue and Terry’s gite. It is a perfect place to relax. Especially we liked the friendliness of Sue and Terry. Jannick loved the pool and playing Monopoly. Twice we hiked around St Saturnin and Venasque. We visited Roussillon and Avignon, but got the feeling that there is so much more to discover here. After one week here, we feel a bit sad about leaving this lovely place. Thanks a lot, we wish all the best for you Sue and Terry.
Katya, Tom and Jannik, Leipzig, Germany - October 2010
This was our 5th holiday in France and finally we have found the perfect place to stay. Many thanks to Terry and Sue for their hospitality, helpfulness and directions to the local Cave (well worth a visit). We will certainly be back. Merci encore.
Trevor and Jenny, Newcastle - August 2010
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful gite. It has been the perfect tonic – a mixture of relaxing and visiting beautiful places. Thanks Sue and Terry for being the perfect hosts in making our stay so trouble free. Good luck for the future and we hope to return one day.
Janet and Dave, Barnstaple, Devon - August 2010
We agree with all previous comments about the gite. It must be the most well equipped anywhere (and we have stayed in a lot). Thank you Terry and Sue for your attention to detail and concern for comfort of your guests. We appreciate the effort you have put into your lovely garden and wish you every happiness as you watch it develop, We have had a great week.
Elaine and Howard, Woodborough, Nottinghamshire - June 2010
Nous avons passé une marveilleuse semaine. L’endroit est magnifique. Beauté et calme! Le gite est tres bien equipé, rien n’y manqué.
Francine and Jacques, Montreal, Canada - June 2010
I can only endorse what everyone has said. I defy anyone to find something that Sue and Terry have forgotten for your comfort and convenience in the apartment. It is a lovely flat and a beautiful situation. However, tempting it is to just chill out and enjoy it here, don’t miss Roussillon or Gordes. After all, no distance at all. Go to Bonnieux on Friday, market day, it’s great. For anyone who wants to eat out a bit, we found it’s really good to eat out at lunchtime (much cheaper too) during the long lunch hours and then enjoy the mellow sunlit evenings on your own terrace with an easily prepared supper. We love the flat and the area and you could not have nicer people as your hosts than Terry and Sue.
Pauline and David, Guildford, Surrey - June 2011
Many thanks to you both for making our stay at your gite so really lovely. Fabulously equipped and really comfortable. Such a relaxing place. The garden, pool and views – non better. All the best to you both. Hope to be back in the future. God bless you both and Abby.
Sandra and John, Northwich, Chesire - May 2011
Thanks for your hospitality for our week in the Luberon. Your gite is even better appointed than your apartment in Antibes if that is possible. Both places are quite lovely and you are fantastic hosts.
Jean and Steve, Montana, U.S.A. - June 2011
