Home description
St Priest les Fougeres is ideally situated for exploring the Dordogne and the Limousin. The apartment is beautifully equipped to a high standard. There is direct access leading from the lounge area to a decked terrace. The decked sun terrace is equipped with sun loungers and wooden garden table, chairs and parasol. This terrace is set in lawned gardens with mature fruit trees and shrubs. There is also a small field for those who wish to play football, cricket or other ball games.
The bedroom consists of a double bed, side tables with bedside lights, a chest of drawers and a hanging rail is provided for clothes, there is access to the shower, hand basin and toilet. Bedding and towels are provided.
The kitchen area is well equipped with a stainless steel sink, dishwasher, fridge, gas hob, microwave oven/grill, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, plus crockery and cutlery for 4 people and various other kitchen utensils. There is also a table and four chairs. Ideal for preparing your picnics, breakfast, snacks and evening meals.
The lounge area has two large comfy double bed settees . There is a television and separate dvd/cd player. A satelite dish provides free view english television channels. There are a selection of dvds for your use.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
This is an area with a pleasant climate. From early spring until autumn the temperatures are so agreeable that is is lovely to be outside. The Perigord Vert is known for its rolling hills, forests, lakes, pretty villages and castles and renowned for its cuisine.
Almost every day there's a local market in one of the pretty villages. For those who like antiques and curios there are lots of brocantes and trocadores. The cities Perigueux and Limoges are a 45 min. drive away. Perigueux is especially known for its old historical centre. Limoges and its surroundings are famous for porcelain. The famous route of Richard the Lionheart and the beautiful castles are nearby. You can visit most of them. Other activities nearby include: canoe, golf, go-kart, tennis, biking, velo-rail, survivalcourse, prehistoric caves and of course various musea.
St Priest Les Fougeres area
The amenities in St Priest les Fougeres include a boulangerie, bar and post office. Other shopping facilities are only 3kms away in the town of la Coquille. Friday night is pizza night in St Priest les Fougeres, a variety of freshly made pizzas can be ordered at the Boulangerie.
There are nearby lakes offering fishing for carp and trout as well as general coarse fishing. Golf is available at courses near Limoges and Perigueux.
Only ten minutes aways is the beautiful chateaux at Jumihlac, it is a must when visiting this area.
The annual fete takes place on 12 August, there are stalls, music and dancing. The three course meal is excellent value for money. To round off the day there is a prossession led by children with lights to an amazing display of fireworks.

Air Links by Ryanair to Limoges, 40 Minutes to St Priest Les Fougeres via Axe sur Vienne on N21, car hire at airport prebooking advised, or BMIBaby Bergerac 1.5 hours route N21.
