Home description

The Garden Apartment has a bright and airy open plan living/dining/kitchen room with hardwood furniture and bright modern fabrics.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a bathroom next to it. The second bedroom has two twin beds which can be made up as a king size bed. There is an optional third bedroom (double) with en suite which has its own deck overlooking the garden.

Outside we have just added (Sept 2008) a superb 400 sq ft hardwood deck which is built round a big mango tree and lit at night by blue and white lights. It provides a special place to dine with views of the glorious tropical gardens filled with Frangipani and Flamboyant trees, Bougainvillea, Golden Palms, Coconuts, Limes and Avocado.

All our guests (see below) say the garden is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Mullins is a very popular part of the West Coast with excellent beaches and lovely tropical sunsets over the Caribbean Sea. Everything you need is within easy reach. There are about 20 restaurants, bars and cafes within 2 miles of the Garden Apartment.

Just over a mile away is the colour and bustle of Speightstown. Barbados's second biggest town remains authentically Bajan with some wonderful old buiildings and a wide range of restaurants, shops, banks and other services.

Holetown in the middle of the West Coast is under 5 miles away with another 20 or so restaurants and duty free shopping.

The West Coast region

The West Coast is the most popular part of Barbados because of its many golden white beaches, excellent selection of restaurants and beautiful sunsets over the Caribbean Sea.

Mullins Bay is just over a mile South of Speightstown which remains authentically Bajan with some lovely old buildings is the second biggest town in Barbados after Bridgetown. Holetown where the first British settlers arrived is four and a half miles to the South.


St Peter / Mullins Bay area

Mullins Beach, a short stroll away, has long been one of the most popular on the West Coast with a beach bar / restaurant, sun loungers & parasols available and a good selection of watersports. Gibbes beach is a hidden gem only half a mile away. Bustling and colourful Speightstown is just over a mile to the North with a wide range of shops, food stalls, a supermarket and several banks. Favourite eating places in Speightstown include Mangos, The Fishermens Pub and Casareep Cafe on the beach.
