Poets Retreat is a 1 bedroomed self contained, airconditioned apartment with pool only 15 minutes from Nice Airport within gated grounds in a tranquil conservation area with captivating views. It is on the ground floor of the main villa. It has romantic double bedroom with en suite shower room. The living area leads on to an outside private terrace for alfresco dining.
The grounds are on several levels with views all around. The saltwater pool overlooks the conservation area across a pine valley with sunloungers and parasols for shade and is only shared with a maximum of 4 other people.
Poets Retreat is perfectly located with easy access to Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco or Italy being only 45 minutes away. Close to the sea and Le Colle Sur Loup Village with cafes, restaurants, shops.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
The Cote d'Azur is the warmest in France and this area benefits being protected by the Maritime mountains giving longer Summers and warmer Winters. The area is diverse whether you want mountains, a dramatic coastline,sea, beautiful beaches, city life or many hilltop villages they are all close by. With Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes all close by and Italy only 45 minutes away the location is great for touring. France is renowned for its gastronomy and the area certainly gives a vast choice with many places for fine dining whether in historic buildings or reasonable priced restaurants and cafes close by and throughout the region
St Paul de Vence / La Colle sur Loup area
La Colle Sur Loup only 15 minutes from Nice airport and less than 1 hour from the ski resort of Greolieres is a beautiful village with cafes, restaurants, bakers, butchers,supermarkets and a Saturday market within a natural environment of pine trees, oaks, olives and lemon trees. There is a great tourist information office in the village with English speaking personnel L'Abbaye a 12th century priory now converted into a restaurant with a listed Romanesque chapel. The River Loup is a 5 minute walk from Le Cottage where the locals go kayaking and rockclimbing. Visit the world famous historic hill top village of St Paul de Vence within a 5 minute drive with its Foundation Maeght for Art, the historic Colombe D' Or Restaurant visited by many celebrities and wander its cobbled streets with many small independant shops and art galleries. Easy access to the Cannes Film Festival and MIDEM International Music Festival and LIONS, Monaco Grand Prix by train from Cagnes Sur Mer station only 10 minutes away.
There is something for everyone and so much to do and never enough time.
How to get there
Perfectly situated only 15 minutes from Nice Airport. Easyjet, British Airways and most major airlines fly in to Nice.
CAR HIRE - As you come out of arrivals many major car hire companies are directly in the airport.
Some guests who did not wish to drive or fly have arrived by train firstly to the main line station in Nice then onto the local station at Cagnes sur Mer. Then caught a taxi to the villa. We recommend a car to make the most of the Cote d'Azur and your stay.
Main Ferry port in Nice for large cruise liners. You can catch a boat directly to the beautiful island of Corsica booking required. Or in peak season from Antibes to St Tropez to avoid the traffic.

Further details indoors: Poets has a romantic double bedroom which leads to an en suite shower room equipped with Power shower, wash hand basin lots of storage, toilet and bidet.
The living area is open plan with a well equipped kitchen. There is a sofa and additional seating for 4 and internal dining for 2 with french double doors leading to your private outside terrace for alfresco dining for 4.
Further details outdoors: With captivating views and the saltwater pool you will while away the hours just relaxing.
You have your own private terrace for Alfresco Dining which leads out from double french doors from your living area.
The grounds are on several levels and there are lots of areas to just sunbathe if you want to be somewhere quiet and private
Parking is within the grounds for 1 vehicle.

Smoking is only permitted outside the property
A 50% reservation deposit is required at the time of booking which is non refundable. The full amount is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival plus a security/damage deposit of £500.00. No refunds within 8 weeks of arrival apart from damage deposit. The damage deposit will be dispatched within 2 weeks of vacating the villa subject to any damage.
You are strongly advised to take out fully comprehensive holiday/travel insurance with a cancellation clause.

Welcome lady will meet you on arrival and prior to departure who speaks English and French who will be available whilst on your stay.

Rent includes general cleaning, bedlinen, towels (Not beach towels) heating, airconditioning, pool maintenance, gardener and welcome lady. Arrival time between 16.00 - 18.00 and departure 10.00.
There is an additional heating charge in winter between 1st October and 28th February of £50.00 per week.
Payment is by bank transfer. For refunds of security deposit outside the UK there is a bank charge of £15.00.

Just to say thank you. We really enjoyed our stay at Poets Retreat and arriving by train was fine. Having a car was no problem as we walked into the village most days and did selective shopping Mr. W. & Miss G. London.
