Situated in St Jeanette,next to Vence, on French Riviera, amidst the renowned golden triangle of the Cote D'Azur, in the south of France, this magnificent villa is situated 395m above sea level, and only 15 min by Car to Nice airport and the Beach.

It has a magnificent 180 degree sea view from east to south west, from Cap Ferrat to Cap de Antibes, over surrounding natural forest, a vine yard and old Chateau, as well as the high Alps.

Surrounded by nature in a conservation area, the villa offers total privacy and quietness. It is only 1,5 km to the local village of St Jeannet and 6 km to Vence and Saint Paul de Vence. The nearest supermarket is 2 km and the airport is a convenient 14 km.

The swimming pool is in principal available from May 01 to Mid October.

Security deposit eur 300 to cover accidental damages is payable at arrival and
will be returned on departure if no damage is done to the villa and it's content.

The use of the villa with all it's facilities for up to 6 persons,
water, clean linen and towels for 6 persons at arrival, normal wear and tear,
satellite television, radio and cd, Wi Fi internet connection, fully equipped kitchen.

Weekly maintenance of pool and Garden.

The pool is closed between October 15 and May 01, pending wether. However a separate agreement can
be made upon request prior to arrival.

Fire wood for the sauna and open fire place, washing powder for washing machine and dish washer...etc is at the expense of the renter.

Additional Charge from 15 Octoberr - 01 May for: Electricity and Heating eur115/week for normal consumption.In 2008 this will be eur 125/week.

General change over cleaning on departure eur160/rental payable on arrival.In 2008 this will be eur 170/rental.

Reservation deposit: 20 % (non refundable) on reservation, 50 % 60 days in advance, and 100 % 30 days in advance.

Cancellation fees: 50 %, 60 days in advance, 100 % 30 days in advance.

We are also at your disposal at any time when needed to make sure that your stay will be a pleasant one.

Bring your mobile, as no phone lines are available in the house unless pre agreed with the owner.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

The St Jeannet & Vence region is situated 12 km from Nice international air port with a breath taking view over the Riviera. The region also probably offers the best climate all year around, as it is sheltered from the mistral wind by the mountains in the hinter land that created a unique micro climate ( particularly during fall, winter and spring when the mistral blows strongly) and is only 15 min away from the sea side.

The property is Situated at 395 m above sea level on a slope with a dominant south position over looking the Riviera, with a 2000 m2 easily maintained garden on several levels. 1/3 consists of a grass lawn with an automatic watering system with Roses, Oleander, Jasmin, Caprifoul, Camelia, Rosemary, Lavender, Lemon and Mandarin trees and other flowering shrubs. The other 2/3 is a natural garden with oak trees and local wild flowers.

The St Paul de Vence / Vence area

St Jeannete is a beautiful Provencal village dating back to the 11th century. It offers a variation of local restaurants. Vence situated next to St Jeannete ( 5 km) with lots of Restaurants, shops and things to do & see. A further 4 km away you find St Paul de Vence, an artistic village that has to be visited.

From My villa you have several walking track, that takes you around the area and the beautiful nature. Ideal for biking & walking.

There are lots of thing to see and museums (maties, Chagall, Picasso, Monet...) to visit, art collections...... etc.

St Jeannet is situated some 5 km east of Vence and St Paul du Vence right in the heart land of the " Golden triangle" of the french riviera- near to the air port- 15 m- to the beach-15m- Nice and Cannes - 20 m by Car.
The village is a truly provencal village with shops and restaurants- Supermarkets -5 min by car.

If you fly to the riviera a rent a car is recommended in order to give you mobility.

Wonderful place to spend new year

We stayed at the villa during new year for one week. Our family loved the tranquility of the lovely St. Jeanet and of the property. The villa was well-maintained and we loved the home-like, warm filling we had during our stay. Because we are a family of five we liked the prestige of more than one bathroom and big dining place and living room. Most our time we spent in the big living room where we also enjoyed in the fireplace. We liked well equipped kitchen, we dined most of the time in the big dining place where we could make ourselves a big feast. In the mornings we energized ourselves on the terrace under the sun rays watching cote d'Azur. During the day we visited nearby St. Paul de Vence, Vence and even Nice, Cannes and Monaco are very close for long or short visit. We were very glad that the owner allowed us to bring also our two dogs. We would recommend the villa for relaxing holidays, romantic getaway or for exploring nearby small villages or famous cities. The villa was everything we hoped for, we were only sorry we couldn't stay any longer.

What a fantastic place to spend our honeymoon. From the quiet walks to St Jeannet to sitting on one of the 3 verandas admiring the uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea and the Alps Maritime, things just couldn’t get any better. Although, admiring the same views at night, looking over the lights of Nice and onto the moonlit sea was equally (if not more) special.

The villa, situated 1,450 feet above sea level is well appointed with a quality, fully equipped kitchen (including full sized fridge freezer) and plenty of space. It was almost too big for the three of us, but we shouldn’t grumble about too much room!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks here in late September – warm weather, late night drinks on the veranda, a dip in the pool and day trips to Nice, Cannes, Monaco plus walks in the mountains made it a truly special time and we would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Beyond Perfection

If you want a dream holiday in your own villa, this is it.

I have returned every year since 2005 for 3 weeks in May. Each time I feel I'm returning to my meticulously maintained home, the house spotless, the ground manicured, the pool sparkling. The views of the Mediterranean and Pre-Alpes to die for.

After a meet and greet with the care-keepers who live nearby, we're on our own. I know they're available if we have any problems, but we never have had any.

Now this may not be important to most guests, but for me, having been a professional chef de cuisine, the kitchen is critical. What I found was a very functional, well appointed modern kitchen; a complete pleasure to create in. It is light and airy with the best views from the window. We always dined in the kitchen, but there is a formal dining room if you are so inclined. With all the wonderful local produce and the fabulously serene location of the villa I think we dined in more than out.

The village of St Jeannet is a charming walled medieval hill village with the best thin crust pizzeria, wonderful bakery, butcher and green grocer. It is only a very pleasant walk away. One could spend their whole holiday between here and the villa if walking, hiking, and drinking coffee on the villa or St Jeannet's terraces is what you want. There are challenging hikes up the Baou de St Jeannet if you're so inclined.

But the south of France.... Picasso, Renoir, Matisse, Chagall, Leger... Each with their own Museums. The flea markets, vegetable markets, flower markets, hill towns, the sea, the mountains, coastal drives, mountain drives, restaurants, gardens, exploring at it finest. Vence, Antibes, St Paul de Vence, Cannes, Monaco, Cap Ferat and everything in between. We want to do it all.

But alas, 3 weeks is over in the blink of an eye. Next year! Same place, same time. If you chose this villa for your holiday, you've chosen wisely.

Thanks to the house's magnificent location, a guest there will feel himself in the unique position of being far away from all the noise of the world, and yet almost a stone's throw from so many of the famous places on the French Riviera, At night you can see the magical lights on the hills leading down to the coast, and at the same time hear the songs of nightingales and even the call of an owl.

The house itself fits just right for a party of 6 people, Tastefully furnished and equipped with everything a guest needs to have an enjoyable stay. The only real problem is making up your mind to go away on excursions: especially when the sun is shining and the pool, with its incredibly clean and refreshing water, keeps on calling you to spend another day just being lazy! But whenever you finally do decide to go, you won't really have to drive more than an hour to be in any number of beautiful towns and culltural attractions.

The nearby village of Le Peyron has a well-stocked supermarket, and a pastry shop that has a fine reputation of its own -try getting away from it without buying more than you intended! This comes in very handy whenever you do decide to be lazy: nothing nicer than filling up the car with goodies and then hurrying back to the pool!

The house's Caretaker is also extremely patient and helpful whenever a question needs to be answered. His maintenance of the house and garden give evidence of his and the owner's great efforts to make a stay at the Villa an unforgettable experience.

Although there might be more reasonable houses available in the area, I don't think it possible to find one that combines all the elements of a perfect vacation the way this one does. We would not only recommend the house to everyone, we're already planning our next stay!

Our Villa in Heaven

I stay at this villa every May-early June and it never ceases to amaze me. The Villa is always immaculate, well maintained, completely modern with an on site maintenance person. This year I used the pool every day and it was splendid. The mountain behind the villa is perfect for walking or climbing and the air is pure and fresh.

The surrounding villages offer all fares of food, and there is a brick oven pizzeria in St. Jeannet that's the best I have ever had. The Villa is pet and child friendly as well as the neighbors. This is an absolute dream vacation for the romantically inclined or a family. The owner is immediately responsive and you never feel that you are stranded in France. The Villagers are warm and eager to help you out (of anything!!), the villa is completely secured. I would recommend staying here to anyone. The views of the Alps and the Sea must be experienced . You can drive along the coast to Italy, Cannes and of course Nice, see Roman Ruins or enjoy a Five Star Spa all within a comfortable drive or take the train. The area is rich in art and the musse's are all around the area. Adventuring into the surrounding medieval towns is entertaining as well as educational. Some of the Castles nearby are adorned with beautiful gardens and along the coast are some of the most exquiste villa's with extremely elaborate gardens (Cap Ferratt and Cap Antibes) are an easy drive. This is truly a vacation you will return to.
