About the home

The villa was designed by the famous interior designer Jacqueline Morabito in 2010. Described as the "Queen of white interiors", her almost monastic style is strikingly simple and renowned for creating a calming and contemporary space whilst maximising the natural light.

She draws inspiration from vintage and industrial accessories and mixes these with simple contemporary pieces.
The bastide villa includes a separate 40 square metre private studio (or loft house), which makes up the fourth bedroom available.


The advertised nightly price is based on a week stay. You will pay more than the nightly rate for a stay of less than seven days. The longer you stay with us, the better the rate.

The large living and dining area are open plan with the kitchen. The living room has beautifully restored parquet flooring with a stone fireplace. High concept modern furniture is sprinkled alongside the traditional features. There is a Petter Skogstad seven "haybale" modular sofa so it can be shaped by guests as they prefer. A Bose stereo system and a large plasma TV with satellite TV (Sky, Astra, Canal +) is mounted on the wall and Wi-Fi is available.

Cleverly mixed with the contemporary pieces are the vintage 1920's two Tolix desks and chairs. Keeping with this style, the vieux planche dining table comes with eight 1920's Tolix Parisian cafe chairs giving the room a sense of harmony. Three large windows flood the room with sunlight and two sets of glass double doors leads onto the large terrace, where the natural pool and grill can be accessed. The dining area is well placed to enjoy the sunny outlook of the terrace area and sea views.

The high concept style of the bathrooms are universally made from blended waxed cement with floor to ceiling minimalistic clean lines and a smooth texture. The strict pallete of grey, white, and black is a wonderful backdrop against the intensity of the Mediterranean’s vibrant green gardens and sparkling azur skies which spill in through the windows.

Every bedroom has an en suite, as well as the guest house. There is a small soaking tub in one of the bedrooms and a large sunken tub in the guest house. There is also a WC on the main floor. The kitchen is designed in high grade white matt resin. A four ring halogen hob with indoor grill and built in skillet are found on the main back counter top. At eye level you will find two separate professional grade ovens, a convection oven and a steam oven. There is also a separate microwave and plenty of storage filled with all the utensils you’ll need to rustle up a family affair.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor of the villa. The fourth bedroom is in the guest house found at garden level. In the villa, the three bedrooms all have individual heating / AC units, flat screen TVs with cable packages including SKY, en-suite bathrooms and gorgeously restored bare wood floors. There is ample wardrobe space in each room. All also have great vantage points from the French windows with sea views, village views and the pool and manicured gardens below.

Bed sizes can be arranged to suit our guests. Chambre Blanche can be a Super King Size or two singles (180x200 / 90x200). Chambre Natural can be King Size or two singles (160x200 / 80x200). Chambre Violet is a King size only (160 x 200).

In the self contained 40 square meter studio there is all the features of the other three bedrooms including a King Size bed but the French windows lead out onto the garden with mature mandarin and lemon trees and the secret "Lover's Quarrel" corner. There is also a small kitchenette for late night and early morning drinks to take straight out onto the garden.

The villa is encased in manicured gardens and terraces as well as a heated splash pool (4.5 metres) all offering another 100sqm of outside space with stunning views over the medieval village of St. Paul de Vence, the surrounding foothills and Mediterranean sea. There is private parking outside the villa for three cars. Public car parks are also nearby.

The neighbourhood is a perfect tranquil retreat when the tourists have left for the day, and until then you can relax in the comfort of your own peaceful retreat and dip in and out as you please.

Those who want to experience the relaxed village life of the locals will not be able to resist sipping a glass of wine or coffee whilst planted at one of the courtside cafes watching the locals compete in a game of petanque.
St Paul has easy direct transport routes to most of the French Riviera and Nice and Cannes are a twenty minute drive away. Buses run to Nice and Cannes at least every twenty minutes.
