Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Middle Cottage is a stone built, newly renovated cottage. It has a large Breton fireplace downstairs in the sitting room. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a separate utility room for laundry purposes. Upstairs there is a large queen size bed and a wash hand basin in the principal bedroom. In the second bedroom there is a small double bed. The bathroom also has an overbath shower.
Middle Cottage has a television with satellite channels and wireless internet is available. There are beams in every room but plenty of light as it is south facing. The garden outside has a table and chairs and there is a large grassed rabbit run opposite Middle Cottage.
St André is a quiet, rural hamlet with just seven homes. It is a lovely area to walk in. The nearest village is one and a half miles away at Lanrivain with a couple of bars, small grocery shop, post office and church. St Nicolas du Pélem, 22480, is 3 miles away and has several bars and restaurants, post office, banks, bakery, grocery shop, supermarket, petrol station etc. We are about 45 minutes from the north coast of Brittany and 25 minutes from Lac de Guerledan which has many water sport activities, restaurants and bars.
All bedlinen and towels are included in the price, as are tea towels, dishwasher tablets, logs for the woodburner etc. If you are planning to arrive after the shops have closed, then I can arrange for essentials like milk to be bought and waiting for you in the cottage if you let me know what you require.
Beach towels can also be provided and bicycles and a BBQ are available from the main house.

About this location
The Brittany region
The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
Brittany - we think of it as French Cornwall as it has so many similarities to Cornwall in the countryside, the granite, gorse, the Celtic connections and, of course, like Cornwall it's surrounded by sea. However, here in Brittany you have the advantage of the French laid back lifestyle, wonderful food markets, wine and cheeses. It's easy access from England, either via Plymouth/Roscoff or Portsmouth/St Malo with Brittany Ferries makes it a good holiday destination. I have a discount number for the ferries which I can pass on to guests.

The cottage is situated in a quiet hamlet. with lovely walks from the house. The owner has animals on a field 200 metres away, chickens, ducks and goats with a polytunnel and veggie gardens. In the garden are rabbits and cats. The nearest town has a post office, church, library, banks, bars, restaurants, supermarket, bakers, pharmacy within three miles and there is another village with bar, restaurant, post office, grocery shop and church just over a mile in the other direction. A very large lake with water sports, bars and restaurants 20-25 minutes away and the north coast is just 45 minutes from the hamlet. I am happy to send more photos by email. "all and more"
We all found the cottage so comfortable and very relaxing, Sandra was so helpful, though we made requests of her on the spot. The cottage was home from home with that Brittany touch we were expecting,… More
