KERMARCH
Situated in this beautiful part of Central Brittany, only 15 minutes from Lac Guerlédan, the largest lake in Brittany offering many watersports, restaurants and beaches and only 30 minutes from the coast you will find our lovely 17/18 th Century hamlet of Kermarch set in 4 acres of trees, fields and gardens.
Kermarch is in the countryside but yet only 5 minutes away from Saint Nicolas du Pelem which offers a new large supermarket with fresh fish counter, butchery, bakers ,Internet Access and all necessary provisions. There are 5 bars , an hotel, a pizzeria and restaurants in the town, a couple of banks , doctors ,pharmacy and garage. The nearest large town is 30 minutes away, Saint Brieuc which is the capital of the area and has a huge variety of shops and a hypermarket (Carrefours)
Pontivy is only a 30 minute drive and has lots of different small shops , a weekly market and a Chateau open to the public.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
Kermarch is only 30 minutes from Saint Brieuc on the North coast.There are many beaches under an hour away including the huge sandy beach at Plenéuf Val André, Binic and Les Rosaires. Not to be missed is a trip to Mont Saint Michel an hour and a half away
St Nicolas du Pelem / Kermarch area
Kermarch is only 15 minutes drive away from the largest man made lake in Europe Lac Guerlédan which offers many watersports including sailing,canoe:kayak,water skiing,pedaloes,swimming, fishing,boat trips etc as well as beaches and restaurants. For four or five evenings in early August every year the Abbey Bon Repos on the banks of the Nantes / Brest canal has its spectacle "son et lumiere"A fantastic night out, once seen never forgotten!!

The 18 th century granite farmhouse and adjacent cottage are let as one unit, suitable for larger family groups of 10 to 12 + cots. They are set away from the other 2 cottages down a private drive in their own pretty formal gardens with lawns, shrubs and plenty of mature trees for shade. The house has been renovated to offer comfortable accommodation but retaining its olde worlde character. The arched granite doorway opens in to a large airy lounge with comfortable chairs, sofas and a sofa bed, logburner, English TV, video and DVD player The fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, gas hob, large fridge/ freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettles, toaster, coffee machine, hand blender etc. There are loads of decent crockery and cutlery and plenty of serving dishes etc for large groups to be catered for properly. There is also a huge collection of cookery books to help you plan your holiday meals. The beamed dining room has two large antique dining tables and chairs. Utility room with an additional fridge/freezer, shower and toilet, washing machine , hoover , iron and ironing board Upstairs are a family room (double and single bed) with an en suite shower and toilet. Two double bedrooms a twin bedroom and a family bathroom.
The small “ Hansel & Gretel”cottage next door has one large bedroom with two double beds. Downstairs is the bathroom and kitchen/lounge with bed settee and log burner. The kitchen includes a fridge, gas hob and microwave oven.
Further details outdoors: Here on site you will enjoy swimming in our professionally installed 12 x 6 metre heated, fenced swimming pool with a shallow end and roman steps. The pool is heated and is normally open from the end of May to the end of September. The pool is sheltered and well positioned to be in full sun all day with tables, chairs, parasols and sun loungers to relax on. Also in the grounds are a boules court , table tennis, trampoline with safety net, children's swing and slide and badminton.
We also have a large field that is kept cut for ball games (football, cricket and rounders) so that the young ones can play within sight but without disturbing the adults. There is plenty of room within the grounds to park cars safely.

Especially handy for those guests staying at our other site at Lustruyen as this is a Sunday start and the shops close at Midday! Clients who book with us can take advantage of discounted ferry and tunnel crossings, just request our reference number to quote when ready to book your travel arrangements.
WHAT ISN’T INCLUDED
Towels and tea towels (these can be hired at £3 or 4 Euros per person per week) Cleaning of the properties on departure or during your stay which can be arranged for you at a charge of 50 Euros per property. A local company can arrange to take you to a restaurant in a mini bus and pick you afterwards at a very reasonable cost.
If you need to stay an extra night/nights I can arrange bed and breakfast locally starting at 45 Euros for a double room
Notes A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. A separate cheque for £100 or equivalent is required per property per week as a refundable security deposit. We recommend that you take out travel insurance with a cancellation clause.
DOGS Well behaved dogs can share your holiday as long as you ask us when booking. We will happily recommend the local vet that we use ourselves who provides the necessary treatment and paper work to comply with regulations in the UK. Visit the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) web site E for all relevant info.
