About the home

Myself, Martin and my wife Emer restored the Stables in our style to give our guests a very special place to unwind and enter the old world of St Mullins.you have all the mod cons ,Gas central heating ,electric shower ,washer- dryer
DVD and television but we know you will spend your time just chilling. The twin beds can be converted in to a Queen size double bed .

The sunny south east with more sunshine than anywhere else on the island,Carlow is steeped in history surround by Waterford ,Kilkenny, Wexford,with the rivers Barrow ,Nore and Suir flowing through .This is a lush and scenic country side within easy reach of beaches mountains and river walks and a chance to walk through history.Visit the Dunbrody famine ship,Waterford Glass,Ducketts grove ,Woodstock Gardens and the Hook where Cromwell arrived to conquer Ireland (By Hook or By Crook)

The St Mullins area

St Mullins is in the sunny south east of Ireland which has the lowest rain fall in the country.Steeped in history. St Moling set up his monastery on the banks of the river Barrow in the 7th century and the monastery was later settled by the Cistersian monks in the 12th century. This area was raided by the Vikings coming up river from their settlement in Waterford. In the 12th century t the Normans arrived under Strongbow and built a Motte and Baily overlooking the river. The Barrow river provides a gate way to the centre of the country and today cruisers and barges make their way past the cottages on the way to inland Ireland.
