Apartment Aineck can be found on the ground floor of Haus Bellevue and is one of three available accommodations. The apartment is set in an idyllic location with sunny, southerly aspect, large furnished patio for outdoor dining and wonderful mountain views.
Very tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, this family apartment will cater for up to five people and ensures that guests have every comfort during their stay. Facilities include a modern and well-equipped kitchen with dining area, cosy living area, family bedroom with double bed and bunk beds, fitted bathroom with bath/shower over and wash basin, separate WC. A large double sofa bed in the living area provides additional or alternative sleeping arrangements, and whilst the living area can be separated from the rest of the apartment with curtains, can be considered as a second bedroom.
Additional facilities include use of a large garden with sun loungers and a children's play area, guest car park, ski room, on-site ski hire, free wifi and a laundry service. A cot and/or high chair is available free of charge upon request.
The Owners live on the premises and are happy to help with any/all aspects of your holiday - a warm welcome is guaranteed!
The location ensures a peaceful stay with a feeling of being away from it all, yet the position is close enough to all the amenities that a car is not necessary. Within 10 minutes walk the town centre of St Michael offers numerous wonderful Cafes, Bakeries, Supermarkets, Restaurants and Shops. The accommodation is also very well positioned for easy access to 4 sizeable Ski Areas, a large network of Mountain Bike Trails and Cycle Routes, numerous Hiking and Walking paths, Swimming Pools, Golf, Sight Seeing Attractions - everything you could want from a holiday.
The wonderful Lungau Valley provides the perfect place for vacation time, enjoying little in the way of mass tourism and promoting a wonderful friendly atmosphere throughout.

The double bed in the bedroom is oversized and fitted with 2 single mattresses and 2 sets of linen - suitable for a couple or 2 people sharing. The bunk beds are also suitable for adults. This apartment will comfortably cater for up to 5 people with an additional sofa bed in the living area. The living area can be separated from the rest of the apartment by curtains, in effect creating a second private bedroom.
A cot and high can be provided upon request.
Facilities for washing and drying clothes are provided by the owners for a nominal fee. The apartments are also equipped with standard clothes drying racks and clothes pegs. An iron and ironing board is available on request and subject to demand.

The Austrian Alps region
The Lungau Valley is one of Austria's best kept secrets enjoying little in the way of mass Tourism and yet with great facilities and opportunities to suit a great range of Holiday Makers.
The beautiful mountainous landscape provides the perfect place for outdoor activities and sports. In the Winter visitors enjoy several sizeable ski areas with much off-piste and cross-country ski tracks. You can also enjoy Horse-drawn Carriage Rides, Ice-skating on natural ponds, Snow Shoe Tours, Winter Walks, Sledging, Golfing (yes really - there is a Golf/Ski pass to those who are interested!), and of course there are numerous cosy Alpine Huts serving hot drinks and local delicacies to enjoy.
In the warmer months there is much opportunity to explore with countless Hiking and Walking Trails taking those who follow them on a sight seeing adventure to mountain lakes and waterfalls. Additionally there is a long stretch of well signed Nordic Walking paths, with purpose made warming/rest stations. To that there is also a wide array of Mountain Bike networks and Cycle trails, many of which begin just a few minutes of the accommodation. You can enjoy summer Golf in the Mountains, select from one of the many lovely Outdoor Swimming Pools, play Mini-Golf, visit Fun-Parks and Nature Reserves, go Fishing - there are even Children-Specific Fishing ponds, Play Tennis, go Horseriding and so much more.
If you are interested in the Historical Sites the valley has much to offer with beautiful Churches, Castles and local Museums. One of the more famous Churches has been undergoing constant restoration due to the weather conditions it is exposed to in it's open location on the mountainside. Its interior is quite incredible with unmissable carvings and art work that has to be seen to be believed. The Mauterndorf Castle is open almost all year round and is host to many Medieval festivals for both adults and children to enjoy. There you can also find one of the most well-recommended restaurants in the Valley.
The Valley is generally hot in Summer, colourful and still warm in Autumn, beautifully white and cold in Winter and awakens with flowers and greenery again for the Spring. It is a fantastic all year round holiday destination, offering something for the adventurers, the sports enthusiasts, those who want to simply relax and for those who want to explore and learn.
St Michael im Lungau
St Michael is a picturesque town found in the heart of the Lungau Holiday Region of Austria. Although it is not the largest town in the Valley it is considered to be the centre for Tourism and boasts a good variety of Bars, Shops, Cafes, Bakeries, Supermarkets and Banks, whilst maintaining it's "Chocolate Box" feel.
Here you can enjoy year round festivals and celebrations including Autumns "Samson Mann", or the magical Winter Advent Market with St Nikolaus and his Krampus (a creature you would not like to get on the wrong side of!). In Spring be witness to or join those climbing the various "May Trees" erected throughout the towns. In Summer join any one of the Wine, Food or Music Festivals, Childrens Events, watch Bycycle Races, observe (or join in) the huge Samsonman Running Race, classic car events, Motorbike Tours and many more options.
The Church located in the town centre is well worth a visit, as are some smaller places of worship located within a short walk from the house. The clear waters of the River Mur run only a short distance away, along which you can enjoy leisurely strolls or bike rides. Alternatively, from the doorstep it is very easy to begin a hike up the Speiereck Mountain - or if you prefer take a cable car or chair to the top and walk/ride back down!
Set in the mountainside, the town boasts an idyllic heated outdoor pool with a mini golf course attached. There you can also delight in some really good cuisine for excellent value.
Within easy reach there is also Tennis, Bowling, Fishing, Golf, Horse Riding, Adventure Parks and so much more.
Then of course their are the various Ski Areas, the nearest of which can be reached less than 1km from the Accommodation. The valley in total offers over 300km downhill piste with some good off piste opportunities and is mostly Snow-Sure from December to April each year. In addition to the downhill attraction there are nearly 200km of Cross Country tracks to follow. The Lungau is a very popular spot for Ski Tourers and detailed maps can be purchased from the Tourist Office. If you don't like to slide you could always go on an organised Winter Walk or Snow Shoe tour. Then if Snow Sports aren't for you, the winter wonderlandscape can be just as easily experienced with a romantic Horse Drawn Carriage/Sleigh Ride.

"Wonderful Apartment, Amazing Ski Area, Great Location, Fabulous Hosts"
Usually ski apartments are small but adequate, this one was amazing. So spacious and my wife claims it was the best equipped kitchen ever. Very clean, warm and cosy. The Ski area was amazing, but sadly we were unable to ski it all in one week. The location of the apartment is ideal, with shops close by and the motorway just a kilometre away which made it very easy to find. Lovely places to eat , and unlike some of the ski resorts, were not expensive.
Our hosts Amanda Gary and Kito were so kind and welcoming.Nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful week and will be back to sample more of the delights of St Michael and Haus Bellevue
