The Cornwall region

Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is just a mile from the village of St Merryn. Here you will find local convenience stores, 'Fryer Tucks' Fish & Chip Shop in addition to a Chinese Take Away and Pizza restaurant.

The local village pubs are 'The Farmers Arms' which serves hot food and has a carvery available each evening and Sunday lunchtime. Whilst the 'Cornish Arms' (owned by Rick Stein) is just outside the village - on the Padstow road - and serves a simple British pub menu which is well received by the locals and visitors alike.

St Merryn

The North Cornwall Coastline is renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches - with 'seven bays for seven days' you could visit a different one each day of your holiday!

The fishing port of Padstow provides you with many shopping opportunities in addition to more recreational activities. Why not catch the ferry across to Rock for a ramble or you could hire a bike to cycle along the 'Camel Trail'. The trail now runs through to Bodmin with many opportunities along the way to 'refuel'!

Also in Padstow is Rick Stein Seafood School. Here you can pre book either a day or week long cookery course in his purpose built kitchen - there is even a chance that Rick himself will pop in and oversee your culinary training.

Along the coast to the west is 'Watergate Bay'. Here you can book into Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant for a meal or take part in some more physical activities at the 'Extreme Academy Watersports Centre'.

Heading south towards St Austell you will find the Eden Project. During the summer months many different events take place for the whole family to enjoy adding to the value of a day out at the Biomes.

The site is ideally situated for travelling slightly further afield with the 'Tate Gallery' at St Ives or even a day trip to the Isles of Scilly - either by air from Newquay Airport of by sea from Penzance.

For the Children there is the 'Lappa Valley Steam Railway', 'Dairyland', 'Holywell Bay', 'Old McDonalds Farm', 'Crealy Adventure Park' or, if you fancy a bit of speed, why not visit the 'St Eval Karting Track' with karts for all ages. For the days where the sun is reluctant to shine why not visit Newquay Zoo or theNewquay Waterworld Fun Pool opposite. All of these attractions are within a short travel distance by car.

For the golfers amongst you then Trevose Golf Club is less than three miles away. Overlooking Constantine Bay this links course offers you a unique challenge as the Atlantic Waves crash in ahead of you.

The friendly reception staff at Atlantic Bays will be happy to advise you on the best attractions to visit - whatever the weather - and even have a number of discounts available when booked through the site.

"Great location to explore cornwall"

The location of this chalet is great if you want to explore cornwall's beaches and seaside towns. We stayed here for a week and had difficulty narrowing down what we wanted to do - with so many beaches/coves to explore and lovely towns and attractions to visit one week wasn't enough. The chalet was well equipped, clean and tidy and comfortably accommodated 5 of us. Well worth a visit.

"Perfect location to explore 7 bays for 7 bays and lovely clean and well stocked accomodation!"

The chalet is clean and very well stocked. The location is perfect to explore the local bays which have lots to do for all ages (we have a 9, 13 and 16 year old!!!).
The site is quiet but is currently being developed.
Fully recommended.

We found the accomodation very comfortable. The site was quiet and clean and the location very central to some amazing beaches. Booking was straight forward and communication with the owner was quick and efficient.
