The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region
Brittany benefits from a mild climate all year long. Brittany has many historical interests like Saint Malo which is a 18th century fortificated town surrounded on the shore by many forts which can be reached by walk.
A little further in land (20 km) there is Dinan, a middle age city built along the river Rance, which is of great interest for the unique and well preserved historical houses and castle, before the province of Brittany belonged to France.
Dinard (10 km), facing Saint Malo, keeps a charming touch of its 19th century of its fashionable seashore resort
Mont Saint Michel (20 km) is a remarkable 10th century abbey classified amongst the world wonders.
Chanel Islands (Jersey, Guernesey or Sarq) can be a one-day visit from St-Malo with high speed ferries.
St Malo / Rotheneuf area
Old city of Saint Malo surrounded by remparts, forts with a wild and well preserved shore allows many walks along beaches and the shore. The quality of the beaches comes from its tidiness and white sand. Saint Malo benefits from the hugest tides with South America in the world (13 metres difference between low tide and high tide).
Gastronomy will enjoy people found of fresh fishes, shells and crabs. Its mild climate allows a wide variety of vegetables and fruits cultivated 2 km in land.
People attracted by sailing and windsurf activities can practice easily all year long.

Further details indoors: If requested in advance, linen and towels are available (£100 or €120 per week) and cleaning at departure (£ 50or €60). A baby cot can be supplied, if requested in advance.
Further details outdoors: The large terrace and the barbecue allows to have lunch outside during spring and summer season. After sunset, it is cooler. The way to beaches is very safe, with very little traffic. There are possibilities to practice windsurfing, golf (courses at Dinard, St-Malo and Les Ormes) with reasonable green fees (€45 to €75), Parking: there is one parking space in the garage and one in front of the garage within the secluded garden; however, the street is very safe to park, since there is no traffic and no other pedestrian than the neighbours.

Payments can be made in sterling or euros cheques; 20% discount on the second rental week; for practical reasons, the villa cannot be rented for period less than one week, however, during low season, arrival and departure dates can be flexible.
All charges (central heating, electricity, water, ...) are included, except optional linen and towel rental (€120, £100 per week) and cleaning at departure (€60, £50).
Booking deposit: 25% at signature of booking contract, balance one month prior arrival, by cheque in sterling or euro. Guarantee deposit (£500, €750) by cheque at arrival, not cashed and returned at departure.
