Traditional farmhouse bursting with character including beamed ceilings, antique furniture, tiled and polished floor. It has a very large dining room complete with French door leading onto the garden connecting to the dining room furnished with two sofa beds, a television with DVD and CD player and a feature fire place. The fully equipped kitchen has new appliances including cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. The bathroom has a bath with shower, the toilet is separate. There are three large bedrooms all decorated differently, two being double and one single. An additional two bedrooms can be made available on request, each having two single beds. There is also a cot. The place is centrally heated. There is a barbecue in the garden which has a specific area for drying clothes, and orchard with apple trees and ample private parking facilities for 6 cars and a terrace.

The Normandy / Manche region
The farm stands in the middle of the Cotentin and Bessin Regional Nature Park, and is 6 kms away from the bird reserve of Les Ponts d'Ouve. It is also on one of the old pilgrim trails, on the interior path from Barfleur to the Mont Saint Michel. Marchesieux is on one of the 25 discovery veloroutes which have been designed to explore the marshlands. There are also stables in Marchesieux which organise riding parties. The house is three quarters of an hour from Utah Beach, on the east side and 20 minutes from the beach of Pirou on the west side.
St Lo / Marchesieux area
Famous fair of Lessay dating from 100 years. Also the fair of Gavray, both held at the beginning of September. Markets:monday in Carentan, Saturday in Saint Lo. Famouse stables to be visited in Saint Lo only on thursdays. Famous horse competitions 20 minutes from the house at the beginning of June, mid August. Historic places within easy reach include Bayeux, all the D-Day beaches including Arrowmanche, home of the famour Mulberry Harbour, Caen, Bayeux, Lisieux and the very famous Mont Saint Michel. Caen is only one hour away. It has a famous museum dedicated to the second world war. Cherbourg has also a very well thought of maritime museum . Bayeux, home to the famous tapestry is also highly recommeded. Lisieux,is known as a recognised pilgrimage town second to Lourdes in the South West France.

- take the ferry to Cherbourg or Caen - less than one hour drive from Cherbourg to the house, one hour and a half from Caen

Further details indoors: Handrails have been put up in the bathroom and the WC for disabled or elderly. As there can be sleeping facilities on the gound floor, the house is suitable for the disabled and the elderly.
Conditions
A deposit of £90 together with a further £125 security deposit are required both refundable and will be returned after the client's departure from the house. Full payment must be received at least 8 weeks before the departure, or at the time of booking is that is within 8 weeks of departure. There are 5 price categories, each applies for 4 people. There is an extra charge of £25 per week for any additional person. Payment can be paid in Sterlings or in euros, although euros would be preferable.
