Home description
The main farm house is in a peaceful secluded location with beautiful views over fields and pastureland. It offers 2 wonderful bedrooms which are furnished to the highest standard, each with a kingsize bed.
Breakfast is served in the large dining room which has a feature fireplace, tiled floor and 'snug' area with comfortable armchairs where guests can relax and plan their day, or enjoy the open fire during winter.
The separate gite is self catering with its own private garden and parking. It can sleep a maximum of 4 people and has excellent facilities.
With easy access to ferry and air ports we offer an excellent base for the D-Day landing beaches, Utah beach is only 20 mins away and the next beach - Omahah offers a wonderful golf course.
For horse lovers a visit to the National Stud (Haras) in the local town of St. Lo is a must. Enjoy a guided tour of its magnificent stables which house 60 stallions.
There is also fun for all the family at the aquatic centre in St. Lo where you can enjoy water toboganning etc, or a boat trip from Caranten to see the beautiful marais with its many species of wild life and plants.

The Normandy / Manche region
Manche is often called the garden of Normandy, bordered with blue it is a well kept treasure that stretches from the Cotentin Peninsula to Mont St. Michel. It is truly an area that has something for everyone from the famous D Day landing beaches of Normandy to Champrepus Zoo to famous gardens and chateaus to the Bayeaux Tapestry.
Manche enjoys a maritime climate rich in cultural heritage with many museums which include the childhood home of Christian Dior which is the only museum in France dedicated to a fashion designer. It is also renowned for its trotting horses, with several racetracks to visit. One of Frances 20 National Studs is situated in St Lo, and these magnificent stables house 60 stallions of varying breeds. During summer months there is a daily stallion parade.
St Lo / Le Dezert area
St Lo hosts a very good selection of bars, restaurants and shops with excellent car parking and pedestrianised areas with a busy weekly Saturday market - 15 kms Haras National (National Stud) daily stallion parades and weekly equestrian displays in summer months. St Lo Aquatic centre, indoor and outdoor pools - fun for all the family including water toboganning, beach volley ball etc. - St. Lo Boat trips - several are available for you to enjoy the scenery of the beautiful marais, taking in the many species of wildlife and plants. Carentan - 17 kms Utah beach, the nearest of the D Day landing beaches - 21 kms Bayeaux - The home of the famous Tapestry which illustrates the conquest of England bt William, Duke of Normandy. Bayeaux was also at the heart of the landing operations of the Allied troops on 6th June 1944 - 37 kms Jardin des Plantes. This flower garden is one of the oldest in Normandy, it has a collection of rare trees, floral beds, a labyrinth and is listed in the supplementay list of national heritage, Coutances - 31 kms Champrepus Zoo, 7 hectares of unique landscaped gardens with 50 animal species, Villeddiieu-les-Poeles - 52 kms Beach sports - sailing, skiing and surfing, Barneville-Carteret - 60 kms (1 Hour)

This has 2 very light and spacious bedrooms each with a kingsize bed, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The East Room has an en-suite shower room and wc and a pull down single futon to accommodate an extra guest and the West Room has an adjacent private shower room and wc and can accommodate an extra 2 guests with either 2 single or 1 double sofa bed.Both rooms have wonderful views over meadows. We offer a delicious continental breakfast of eggs, yoghurt and/or cereal, toast and croissants from our local village bakery, with orange juice and tea or coffee. This is served each morning in our wonderful and welcoming dining room.
The Gite
This very comfortable self catering cottage can sleep up to 4 people. It has 2 single beds in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is very well equipped and is newly re furbished as is the shower room. Breakfast in the main farmhouse is available to gite guests by prior arrangement at an additional cost of 8 euros per day
Further details outdoors: There is parking adjacent to the farm house for guests and if they wish they are able to enjoy the summer evenings sitting outside the house with a cool drink joining us for our weekly BBQs.
The gite has its own private garden, parking and BBQ area, but guests are also very welcome to join us for a BBQ at the farm house.

Well behaved pets may be allowed in the gite by prior arrangement.
Conditions
Please note that the bedrooms in the main house have 2 flights of stairs to each of them. The gite is a one storey building
A 50% deposit is payable at the time of booking, with the balance due no later then 4 weeks prior to arrival.
There is a refundable damage deposit of 100 euros for the gite payable on arrival.
We accept cash or cheque either in sterling or euros.
