The Devon region
One of the most diverse part of the country, with sandy beaches but 15 minutes away by car; peaceful, rolling countryside from 10 minutes away; an easy walk into the heart of the vibrant Exeter city centre; and Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks a short drive away.
Exeter is in the heart of Devon with the adventure park, Crealy Adventure park, paint balling, quad biking, go ape, woodland watermark and go-karting all close to hand. All these activities - to name but a few - are ideal to keep the kids and the kids in you happy.
For those who want to do something special and extra-memorable, mackerel fishing from the coastal resort of Beer in the season is a must. And what about going fossil-hunting on a local Jurassic-era beach?
Being close the city centre of Exeter, Acer House is in easy walking distance of a wide variety of shops, supermarkets e.g. 'Waitrose' (which also home delivers), and a myriad of exciting restaurants, including the renowned, 2-Michelin-star, multi-award-winning, world-class restaurant at Gidleigh Park, near Chagford.
The newly-refurbished Royal Albert Museum in the city centre is also worth visiting.
The beautiful mediaeval Exeter Cathedral and the surrounding Roman ruins are also memorable tourist delights.
The underground tunnels that joined the various part of the city are equally ready to be explored.
The popular red-coat tours of Exeter - including chilling ghostly tales - also run throughout each day.
Close to Acer House, sporting facilities include a tennis club, swimming pools and gyms.

"An excellent 50th birthday holiday"
I booked this house to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday with the extended family whilst some members of my family were singing at Exeter Cathedral for the week. The house was lovely and very spacious, the location was excellent and Sophie very friendly and helpful. We had no problem with the wi-fi whatsoever. It would have been helpful to know of the cut through to the main road leading to the city centre which is opposite the house and to the right. However, an extremely well decorated house. We loved it!
Thank you very much. We are very pleased that you had a good time at Acer House and enjoyed beautiful Exeter.

"Not set up for the 21st century and arbitrary deposit deductions"
My family stayed at Acer House for a week with my sister's family. We were 5 adults and two toddlers. We regularly travel to Europe from the U.S. and rent apartments and this was the worst experi… More
I gave her my personal BT account details which gave her access to wifi with over a million hotspot as Miss Belal was a friend of a friend. she said it did not work. I went to PC world on the same day to purchase her dongles to make sure she has wifi access. she complaint the wifi was not fast enough for her. we gave her and family early check in and late check out without any extra charge. We did not have a proper check out with her mother as she was late for her flight. I even helped her with her luggages.
Their quote from our visitor book are as follows, 'we had marvellous time at Acer house, felt very much at home.Only one problem,no wifi as promised. This was a problem for us .Apart from that,we would like to come back and stay some time 2014. Many thanks for your kind attention.'
We gave Miss Belal photographic evidence of the damage sustained. 3 walls was smeared with food and the stain cannot be removed unless painted. The throw in our the back family room had food on it.We have greasy fingerprints all over our kitchen units which take up more cleaning time. I thought the deduction of £100 was very fair but apparently Miss Belal was not happy with it. We did not even take into account any other repair as we treat it as snagging problem. The house just had a full renovation less than a year ago.we tried to maintain Acer House to a good standard for our other guest to enjoy.
