Plenty of chairs and tables are available for outdoor eating. We have renovated the mill ourselves to retain as many original features whilst providing up to date facilities, combining history with convenience.
Given sufficient food and wine which are readily available from the local market towns, you could spend your entire holiday without leaving the premises. Alternatively, it makes a great base for indulging a wide range of sporting activities or cultural expeditions in the three departments which make up the ' Limousin' area
The property is the ultimate for tranquility and the night sky is as clear as you can find in Europe.
The place is a naturalist's (or naturist's!) dream overlooked only by Kite's, Buzzards, donkeys and a wide range of smaller birds; listen out for the unmistakable sound of migrating cranes in Spring and Autumn.
The Limousin region
The limousin area offers numerous contrasts, from the rolling contours and city amenities offered by the regional capital Limoges to the mountainous terrain of the Auvergne with several ski resorts with the regional park the ' Plateau de Millevache with Lake Vassiviere in between.
Attractions as diverse as the tapestry town of Aubusson, the cave paintings of Lascaux , the equestrian centre at Pompadour and the martyr village of Oradour are but a few of those possible on a days outing from the mill.
Set in France's “Lake District”, the mill is surrounded by beautiful countryside with deep gorges and many lakes. The pretty medieval towns of St Leonard de Noblat and Eymoutiers with restaurants, markets and traditional festivals are just 10 minutes drive away and Limoges, the regional capital is easily accessible (30 mins).

Great place to stay, in really peaceful and lovely surroundings. The only drawback was the lack of wardrobe space in the bedrooms.

"Relaxing and Peaceful Location"
The mill has a lovely location and surroundings, set in pleasant countryside. Plenty of living space and cosy with the wood burners. Owners helpful and easily contactable. Good value for money.
