The popular seaside resort of St Ives is only a 15 minute drive away and is famous for its rich artistic history and is home to many galleries including Tate St Ives. There is also good surfing to be had in St Ives and Sennen Cove and both areas offer a surf school with boards and wetsuits for hire.
You can also visit the Geevor tin mine in Pendeen which has daily tours that provide a fascinating insight into the history of the area.
The coastal path is easily accessible all around the peninsula and the open air theatre at Minack, built by Rowena Cade on the cliffs at the end of her garden offers a full program throughout the summer and is well worth a visit.
