The Burgundy / Yonne region
The house is situated in the north of Burgundy about 4.5 hours from Calais by car and within reach of Paris by train or car. Eurodisney and the rocks of Fontainebleau are also in reach for a daytrip. There are many caves and Chateaux as well as the historic towns of Auxerre, Sens and Vezelay all within easy reach. The Tour de France will pass by the town this year.
St Julien du Sault area
St Julien du Sault comprises many beautiful old buildings and the house is in the conservation area. The river Yonne runs through the village with a small river beach accessible to the public. Water-ski-ing is available on the river in the summer. The village has all essential shops witha larger supermarket in walking distance or a short drive. There is a museum, a park and a beautiful church holds pride of place in the centre of the village. A walk from the village up a steep hill takes you to Vaugiullain Chapel a local landmark from which there are good views of the village and the Yonne valley.

Nearest Airport - Charles de Gaulle, Paris - approx 1.5 hour drive. Mainline station in St Julien du Sault, walking distance from house. Travel options from England include fly and hire car; Eurostar to Paris and train from Paris; Ferry or Eurotunnel and drive (approx 4.5 hours)

Unsuitable for wheelchairs. On the ground floor there is a large room with doors that open to the garden, This space accommodates the washing machine and freezer as well as a table and chairs.
