Le Cerisier is set on the edge of the peaceful village of St Juire Champgillon, in the heart of the Vendée countryside.
Le Cerisier shares the use of the 10m x6m salt water swimming pool along with a 3m circular children’s pool, which is securely fenced for your security. There is a large garden with a children’s play area containing slides, swings, boules court and trampoline and each gite has its own outside seating area with BBQ facilities.
There is a large shared off-road parking area.
Le Cerisier has a living room with TV & Freeview satellite channels, a DVD player, stereo and an internet access point. Central heating is available for the winter months at an extra charge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle & toaster and lots of cutlery & crockery. There is access to a shared coin operated washing machine.
The bathroom has a shower, hand basin and toilet.
Le Cerisier has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 guests (Double bedroom, twin bedroom & Bunkbeds).
Le Cerisier forms part of a three gite complex, please ask for more details on the other two gites.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region
The Vendée is reputed to be the second sunniest region in France after the south coast areas.
There are sandy beaches, flat marshlands and rolling countryside areas - something for everyone!
Le Cerisier is a 40 minute drive from the beaches at La Tranche Sur Mer and La Rochelle. It is also only 20 minutes to Puy du Fou Medieval Theme Park, with its spectacular night time light show. The Marais Poitevin is only 30 minutes away. The towns of Fontenay Le Comte ,with its Go-Kart track and La Roche Sur Yon, with great shopping, Ice-Skating, ten pin bowling and an indoor swimming pool are all only 30 minutes away.
St Juire Champgillon area
Le Cerisier is situated in a small hamlet near to the picturesque village of St. Juire Champgillon. The village has a bar and restaurant serving regional dishes both for lunch and dinner. There is also a hairdressers and small grocery shop, along with a bakery van that visits during the day. During the summer months there is a market every Sunday morning where you can buy local produce and sample the local wines, aperitifs etc. The children can take a ride around the village in a cart pulled by the village donkey - great fun! It is an ideal place to ride your cycles or to walk through the quiet lanes and take in the breathtaking scenery. Pack a picnic and stop off at the lake in St Martin Lars and just let time pass you by.
How to get there
La Guillemandiere Gites are approximately a 3-hour drive from St Malo, or 5 hours from Cherbourg. The route is mainly on major roads or motorways, and then we are 20 minutes away from Junction 6 on the A83.
Cheap flights with Ryan Air are available to Nantes Airport (Approx 1 hour away), and all major car hire companies are available there. You can also fly in to La Rochelle Airport, which is only 40 minutes away.

The extensive gardens are full of mature fruit and nut trees and there is a trampoline and children's play area with slides and swings. There is also a boules court.

For high season the changeover day is a Saturday, but we are able to be more flexible outside of these summer dates. We can also accommodate short breaks (minimum 3 nights) and long winter lets, so please call us for more details.
A 30% deposit will be required to secure the reservation with the remaining payment being made 8 weeks prior to the start of your stay. A £100 security deposit cheque is also required against any damages to the property.
