Le Petit Recoin is set on the edge of the peaceful village of St Juire Champgillon, in the heart of the Vendée countryside.
Le Petit Recoin shares the use of the 10m x 6m salt water swimming pool along with a 3m circular children’s pool, which is securely fenced for your security. There is a large garden with a children’s play area containing slides, swings, boules court and trampoline and each gite has its own outside seating area with BBQ facilities.
There is a large shared off-road parking area.

Le Petit Recoin has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 guests (One double bedroom and one room with 2 single beds).
The ground floor is all open plan for the living, kitchen and dining areas.

Le Petit Recoin overlooks open countryside and is surrounded by fields of corn and sunflowers.
All guests share the 10m x 6m swimming pool and there is a 3m paddling pool for children. There are enough sun loungers for all guests.
The extensive gardens are full of mature fruit and nut trees and there is a trampoline and children's play area with slides and swings. There is also a boules court.

From May until September the changeover day is a Saturday, but we are able to be more flexible outside of these dates. We can also accommodate short breaks (minimum 3 nights) and long winter lets, so please call us for more details.
A 30% deposit will be required to secure the reservation with the remaining payment being made 8 weeks prior to the start of your stay. A £100 security deposit cheque is also required against any damages to the property.
The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region
The Vendée is reputed to be the second sunniest region in France after the south coast areas.
There are miles of sandy beaches, as well as flat marshlands and rolling countryside areas - something for everyone!
Le Cerisier is a 40 minute drive from the beaches at La Tranche Sur Mer and port of La Rochelle. It is also only 20 minutes to Puy du Fou Medieval Theme Park, with its spectacular night time light show. The Marais Poitevin is only 30 minutes away. The towns of Fontenay Le Comte ,with its Go-Kart track and La Roche Sur Yon, with great shopping, Ice-Skating, ten pin bowling and an indoor swimming pool are all only 30 minutes away.
The St Juire Champgillon area
Le Cerisier is situated in a small hamlet near to the picturesque village of St. Juire Champgillon. The village has a bar and restaurant serving regional dishes both for lunch and dinner. There is also a hairdressers and small grocery shop, along with a bakery van that visits during the day.
During the summer months there is a market every Sunday morning where you can buy local produce and sample the local wines, aperitifs etc. The children can take a ride around the village in a cart pulled by the village donkey - great fun!
It is an ideal place to ride your cycles or to walk through the quiet lanes and take in the breathtaking scenery. Pack a picnic and stop off at the lake in St Martin Lars and just let time pass you by.

Le Cerisier is approximately a 3-hour drive from St Malo, or 5 hours from Cherbourg. The route is mainly on major roads or motorways, and then we are 20 minutes away from Junction 6 on the A83.
Cheap flights with Ryan Air are available to Nantes Airport (Approx 1 hour away), and all major car hire companies are available there. You can also fly in to La Rochelle Airport, which is only 40 minutes away.

Stayed there with husband and 2 young children, and the gites was ideal. Good facilities, including the washing machine, super pool and plenty for the children to do on site. Ruth and Andy made us incredibly welcome, were a font of local knowledge, and their children were great. Super holiday, and I could not recommend highly enough. |

For summer weeks, the changeover day is Saturday - we can be more flexible with holiday start dates outside of this period.
We require a 30% deposit to secure your reservation, with the remaining 70% being paid 8 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday.
A security deposit of £100 is also required against any damage to the property.
We are able to accept payment in sterling or Euros, either by direct bank transfer or cheque.
