About the home

This lovely, large villa features a south west orientation, and offers unlimited panoramic views of mountains, valleys and the Mediterranean Sea. Outdoor features include a private swimming pool with sunbathing areas, and a 1500 m2 terraced garden with olive, citrus, apricot, and fig trees.

This five-bedroom/three-bath home offers approximately 200 m2 of living space, and sleeps up to ten persons. There is a big entrance hall, two living rooms (one with a fireplace), a veranda, five bedrooms, three bathrooms and toilets, two kitchens, a winter garden with a panoramic view, and open and covered terraces. One living room, one bedroom, one kitchen, and one bathroom and toilet are in an independent studio.

All beds are of high quality and large. Amenities include a radio/CD-HiFi system, a TV, DVD player, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, drying tumbler, dishwasher, microwave furnace, barbecue, garden furniture, mountain bikes, free broadband internet access (ADSL), gas central heating, an intercom system, a double garage, and room for four to six cars behind the electrical gates. The villa is fully air conditioned and the temperature can be individually controlled in all living rooms and bedrooms.

The views from several rooms are panoramic overlooking the French Riviera from the hills around Vence, and all the way to Cap d'Antibes and the Mediterranean Sea.

All bathrooms each has a bathtub, a shower, a bidet,a toilet and 1-2 wash-basins. The bathtub in the master bathroom is equipped with water-jets.

There are 2 new fully equipped in-door kitchens. Upstairs is a modern kitchen and the studio kitchen downstairs is in Provence style.

There is also an outdoor kitchen with French style iron furniture for out-door dining.

The garden furniture includes a barbecue and dining areas with seating for 20 persons. Several sunbeds are available at the pool which is also near the out-door kitchen.

The villa has its own private boules court for playing petanque.

The pool has an insulating cover facility which may extend the season by one month in both ends.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Within bike distance (about 5 km) you can reach Vence, a city of 15,000 inhabitants, with medieval charm, markets, squares, restaurants, shops, art museums, and churches.

St. Paul de Vence, the most famous of the medieval villages in the area, offers great sightseeing for tourists. Many other medieval villages are nearby including La Gaude, Gattiere, Carros Village, and Le Broc.

It's just one-half hour by car to the Nice Cote d'Azur Airport (14 km), the Mediterranean Sea and beaches (10 km), and Nice, Monaco, and Cannes (15 to 30 km). The Alps are on-site and beyond. And there's great skiing in winter at Isola 2000, just 1.5 hours away.

The villa is within walking distance(500 m) of the medieval village St. Jeannet, Cote d'Azur, Alpes-Maritimes where you'll find high-quality food shops and six restaurants and bars.

St Jeannet is an ideal starting point for mountain walks and rock climbing.

Many cheap flights are available to Nice International Côte d'Azur Airport.

The Villa-St-Jeannet is located only 14 km from the airport. Buses are available but taxi or rental car is to be recommended. Once on location it is possible to access all necessary shops and restaurants by foot.

Comfortable, spacious, great views

It was very comfortable and spacious. The views from the sun porch and the terrace were magnificent, overlooking the valley all the way to the sea and as far as Antibes. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed lots of time in the pool. It felt very private and special. We went to the village at the top of the hill many times, for dinner at Chantegrill, to buy bread in the morning, and just to enjoy the authentic town. It was also quite easy to drive to Vence, to Nice, the towns along the coast, and the beach at Antibes. I hope we will be fortunate enough to return.

Our party had a fantastic time at your Villa. We enjoyed the spectacular views, took regular walks up to the quaint village, and of course made the most of the pool facilities. With use of our hire car we were able to drive to surrounding villages and further afield to Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and beautiful Eze.

The Villa was clean and well maintained and an ideal size for our party of 9. We would highly recommend this property.

We have returned from our all too short trip to France and I just wanted to let you know that we were very pleased with our stay at your villa in St. Jeannet. It is a beautiful and comfortable home with an amazing view of the surrounding hills and the Mediterranean. I particularly enjoyed the sun porch early in the morning with the Baou St. Jeannet casting its shadow over the hills. Although the drive up was a bit challenging, we soon learned to negotiate the curves without too much difficulty. Thank you for allowing us to rent your lovely home.
.Thank you, also, for recommending the Chantegrill restaurant. We had dinner there three times during the week and were very pleased with both the food and the friendly service.
..But, again, our time at the Villa St. Jeannet was very enjoyable and I would readily recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the surrounding area.
..Once more, thank you for allowing us to rent your lovely home. It really surpassed all our expectations.
