Puyrouzeau occupies a delightful riverside setting and boasts ample grounds to enjoy and explore, a private outdoor heated pool, and is surrounded by lots of country tracks ideal for cycling or walking. The Gite, Annexe and Mill House are south facing enjoying a lovely sunny aspect.
Only 2km outside of the village of St Jean de Beugne we enjoy a peaceful and secluded setting with the benefit of easy access to motorway route A83, which is unseen and unheard, only 4km away.
The Gite and Annexe is perfect for larger families, groups or families looking to enjoy more spacious accommodation.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region
The Vendee region of France enjoys a warm and sunny climate for much of the year. Puyrouzeau is located in the south Vendee making it ideal for not only further exploration of Vendee but also of the neighbouring Charentes and maritime region.
St Jean de Beugne area
There are a variety of activities and places to visit to suit all tastes. Golf courses are available within a short drive, as well as water activities at the coast. The beaches of Les Sables d'Olonne are an easy drive away as is the aquarium at Bourgenay and Puy du Fou historical theme park is only 57km.
There is ample cycling and walking routes available in the immediate area surrounding Puyrouzeau as well as further afield, with horse riding being available just a few kilometres away and river fishing available on-site. The Vendee region has numerous historic towns and villages, chateaux, churches and abbeys to visit.
How to get there
Puyrouzeau is easily accessible both by air or ferry.
The closest airport is La Rochelle, being approximately 45mins drive. Nantes and Poitiers are both approximately 1hr, with Rennes airport about 2.25hrs drive.
Car hire is available from all airports, however it's advisable to pre-book.
The channel ferry ports of St Malo, Caen are easy drives of 3hrs and 4hrs respectively, Le Havre about 4.25hrs and Cherbourg and Roscoff are both about 4.5hrs drive.
