"Perfect alpine retreat!"
Our second stay at this apartment was even better than the first! The location is perfect affording fabulous views over the valley, suitably remote to be peaceful, but close enough to towns such as M… More

I stayed at this apartment with my husband and daughter, it was homely cosy and warm.It had everything needed and the beds where really comfy and there was plenty of storage space. We skied the first day at The St Jean'Aulp's and it was fab but depending on your ability 1 day is fine.We then went to Morzine Les Get's and Avoriaz it was great and only took about 15mins to get to by car.
The pubs and restaurants in St Jean d'aulps are limited but are friendly and the food is good.
The Avalanche restaurant was very good and also reasonable.
It was was very easy to deal with Claire and we picked up the keys on the way.

"Great little apartment"
4 adults just had a fantastic week's skiing. Apartment is clean, warm, well equipped and is in an excellent location for the slopes....it's possible to ski down to the lifts after just walking out of the back of the apartment with your equipment. I think 6 adults would find the apartment a little cramped, but with a couple of kiddies it would be fine.
Le Grand Terche is a lovely little resort with it's own small but perfectly adequate ski resort...and the ski passes are very cheap! It is no more than a 15 minute drive to the Ardent lift up to Avoriaz, where the skiing is fantastic, and the same to Les Gets and Morzine.
The small supermarket is perfectly adequate for most shopping, but the much larger Carrefour in St Jean d'Aulpes has everything one could possibly want if you have a car to get there.
Restaurants in the resort are limited but both we have eaten in were lovely.
Would like to recommend the restaurant at the top of the gondola (the one furthest from the gondola on the left) where the food at lunchtimes was always good and the owner ( I presume, who is English) was very nice after I had a bit of a tumble!!
Would love to see the place in the summer...am sure it would be beautiful then too!
