Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat is a quaint and charming port village. It is tranquil and relatively secluded, without high rise apartments and hotels; yet nightlife can be found 20 minutes away either in Monaco or Nice. The port of St Jean lies on the tip of a peninsula which lies between Villefranche sur Mer and Beaulieu sur Mer. Its tranquillity and warm climate make it a favourite holiday destination for those hungry for the sun and glorious French food.
St Jean Cap Ferrat area
In the addition to the pleasures of the beach and port where you can rent a boat and waterski there is plenty to do in the area. Near the village itself there is a zoological park which houses 300 animals which live in semi-freedom amongst the Mediterranean and tropical vegetation. Nearby you can also visit one of the most beautiful villas on the peninsula which is open to the public: the Villa Ile de France. This mansion is decorated with the treasures of the baronness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild. More than 5000 works of art are displayed. There are plenty of walks in the vicinity and excursions such as a trip to St Paul de Vence are possible as a day's outing. Many local festivals such as music and film festivals in Monte Carlo and the Nice Carnival are held during the summer. Market days in Nice and Ventimiglia are not to be missed. Enjoy the artisan shops at the medieval village of Eze which sits on top of the high "corniche".

- Fly to Nice airport - Drive east towards Monaco along coast, St Jean Cap-Ferrat lies between Ville Franche sur Mer and Beaulieu sur Mer.
