The St James Parish region

The West coast of Barbados is renown for the luscious vegetation and white sandy beaches. Along the coastal road that goes from the capital Bridgetown to the north point of the island the landscape is magnificent and it has retained a lot of the original caribbean architecture. Holetown and Speightstown are very pretty villages which offer some historical sites and also a variety of trendy bars and restaurants.You can visit the Folkestone Marine museum near Holetown, Harrison Caves, The Wildlife Reserve, Farley Hill Park, North Point, Granade Hall Signal Station and many more sites. The ideal climate is between the months of December to June when the temperature is between 27c to 30c. The summer month are slightly more humid and the rain seasons goes from September to November. The Bajan folkloristic " Crop Over " Carnival starts in July and ends on the first week of August.


Holder's Hill area

The villa is at the top of Holder's Hill is in the Parish of St. James. It's 3 minutes drive down the hill or 15 min. walk to the coast road and the most beautiful beaches of the West Coast. The nearest beach is Paynes bay, with it's luxurious hotels including the renown Sandy Lane. There is an open air theatre near by where event/ concerts often take place. There is a Polo field and The Sandy Lane golf course. Bridgetown is only 6km. away. Holetown is the nearest village with it's shops, supermarket, banks, bars and restaurants.


How to get there

- Fly to Bridgetown, Barbados. Fairway Villa is just 30 minutes drive from the airport ( US $ 20 by taxi)
- Flights with British Airways and Virgin from London Gatwick. From Manchester with Virgin and BMI
- Car Hire available on request, pick up and drop at airport at no extra charge. Book with villa owner
- Buses run regularly from airport to Bridgetown and west coast but then taxi is required to reach the property.

The house is fenced and gated. 2 parking spaces are allocated at the front of the house. The swimming pool and gardens are shared with 3 other villas only. The covered patio is ideal for al fresco dining. Chairs, table and deck chairs are provider. BBQ and washing lines are available.

Strictly no smoking in the house. No pets. Ideal for families. A welcome pack is supplied on arrival. Cleaning and change of linen provided once per week.

Any additional night is calculated pro rata. Minimum stay 4 nights.

Long term bookings are also considered. Payments may be made also in Euro and US$ by money tranfer.

Fantastic location,for in the West Coast, being on top of the hill we benefited from a lovely breeze. ( Mr. and Mrs. Carr). Great amenities indoor and outdoor, the pool was ideal for the children, I felt they were safe to play unsupervised as the house is located in a very nice residential area.(Mrs Fields, Bristol).
Stilish interior and furniture, very elegant. We were very well looked after by the housekeeper who was always available. (Mrs. Machin, London)
