Home description

Tregotha Farmhouse has been converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to nine people and is a great retreat for large families or groups of friends. Originally the centre of a working farm, it retains much of its character through exposed stonework, two woodburning stoves and an Aga, making it warm and cosy even in the winter months. For summertime dining, it has its own garden and visitors are able to make shared use of the paddock situated near to the property.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Or could it be the cliff-top theatre at Mynack, working harbours, the world famous Eden project or St Michaels Mount, cut off from the mainland by a causeway. Or even the endless activities on offer; the Camel Cycling and Walking Trail, stunning coastal paths or the National Surf Centre at Newquay’s Fistral beach. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.


St Ives / Hayle area

It offers the best of surf and turf, being close to Hayle, famous for its three miles of golden sand, and is surrounded by a rich patchwork of rolling fields. Near to Hayle is Gwithian, one of the most famous surf-beaches in Cornwall, as well as one of the region’s most famous attractions, St. Michael’s Mount. St. Michael’s Mount is an island just off the coast that you can walk to when the tide is out, via an old sea path.

West Cornwall is known locally as the 'Granite Kingdom', being home to a rugged and ancient landscape of neolithic chamber tombs, Bronze Age standing stones and stone circles. The 36 miles of coastline runs from St Ives in the north to Mounts Bay in the south and is littered with small, rustic villages, sites of historical interest, areas of outstanding natural beauty and remnants of .the Arthurian legends.
