1 Trink Cottages
About the home
How can we describe Trink Cottage? It's certainly not your typical holiday rental. To begin with, it is an idyllic, Cornish cottage. For a small family, or hideaway for a couple, it's just perfect. Designed by its owners to be a charming, romantic cottage for our family and our guests, we want you to feel as if you are staying at the holiday home of friends.
Everything has been carefully considered, from the duvets and linens, to the china and appliances, books and DVD's; everything has been selected to ensure that both we and our guests feel totally pampered.
Every inch of the cottage has been recently refurbished with consideration given only to the quality, not to the budget. Using local craftsmen and materials from local sustainable sources wherever possible. With so many outstanding local resources and skills in the region, it would have been daft not to!
The hand-crafted family kitchen, with granite worktops, Miele dishwasher, and huge fridge/freezer is furnished with a keen cook in mind: Dualit appliances and espresso machine, Le Creuset panware, Villeroy & Boch china. Then there's the beds; goosedown toppers, White Company linens, modern contemporary and antique furniture selectively chosen to enhance the cottage.
For entertainment, you'll find everything from a Satellite HD TV, wifi, DVD's, CD's, digital radios, tv/dvd players in both bedrooms, a well considered selection of books and publications, both classics and contemporary reading, and a large well stocked toybox to keep the little ones amused on the not-so-sunny days.
The cottage is just a couple miles from the award winning beaches at Carbis Bay, St Ives and Lelant, Set within its own beautiful gardens, with 100ft private lawned garden and play area, the cottage offers the perfect retreat for a couple or small family all year round.
It is genuinely a home from home, with the very best Cornwall has to offer close by. Superb beaches, a few miles from the north, south and far west coatlines, surfing and sailing facilities, children's activity centres nearby, local gastropubs, fine dining, family cafes, NT properties, golf and horse riding all on your doorstep.

Further details indoors:
1 Trink Cottages is a luxury Cornish cottage recently refurbished throughout to the highest standards, enhancing its traditional Cornish features including a beautiful hand-built Cornish kitchen, slate and timber flooring throughout, luxurious beds with goose down toppers and duvets and with everything from ipod docks to expresso maker provided for you.
We're just a couple of miles from St Ives and Carbis Bay beaches, making it the ideal location for a West Cornwall beach holiday. But after a hard day's surfing or sightseeing, chill out in the gorgeous garden over a glass of wine whilst you watch the sun settle into the hills while the children wind down with a gentle play in the lawned garden, or perhaps one of their favourite bedtime movies from our library.
And when the weather turns a little cooler, head indoors, grab yourself a book from our carefully selected collection, and curl up on one of the deep sofas in front of a roaring log fire. The traditionally built double glazed windows keep the house cosy and warm all year.
Private parking, spacious gardens including herb, fruit and vegetable garden, 5 minutes from local farm shop but otherwise in quiet rural setting yet close to the superb facilities at St Ives and Carbis Bay.
Further details outdoors:
The cottage garden has a dining table and benches for dining alfresco, with a children's den and play area and 100 ft lawn. Private car parking.

The West Country / Cornwall region

A fantastic region of the County with a rich and diverse history, many country houses and estates open to the public, water sports, golf course at nearby Lelant, day trips available to Scilly from Penzance by boat, plane and helicopter, fabulous country country walks, horse riding, a thriving arts community, West Cornwall offers the perfect holiday for any age.
The St Ives / Lelant area
Take the breathtaking branch line from St Erth to St Ives, through Lelant and Carbis Bay, which follows the coastline. Summer or winter, this has to be one of the most picturesque train journeys in the country. At Lelant Saltings, take advantage of the Park & Ride, taking the train into St Ives, where you can hop straight off the train straight onto the white sandy beach.
There are horse riding stables very close by, and the surrounding country is ideal for riding. The dramatic coastline is ideal for lovers of nature and walkers. (The coastal path between St Ives and Land’s End provides spectacular views).
There are plenty of places of interest to visit nearby, including the St Ives Tate Gallery, and the fairytale castle of St.Michael’s Mount in Mounts Bay less than 10 minutes away. Also, within a short distance there are numerous tourist attractions, National Trust Houses and Gardens, and of course the famous Land’s End.
