The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall is a beautiful, unspoilt region of England. Often described as the Cornish Riviera. The weather is mild and the vegetation sub tropical in parts. Dramatic cliffs and clear, clean sea. Stunning sandy beaches and dunes. Quaint villages and harbours. Many unique local customs. Cobbled streets and historical buildings. St Ives has always been an active artists' colony and fishing port.

Had the most gorgeous week staying in this beautiful Edwardian property. The house is immaculate and feels like a very stylish home not a rental property. Nothing can beat waking up to the sound of the sea and amazing sea views as the property is set back on just above the stunning Carbis bay, good quality beds and bed linen, Have stayed in the center of St Ives before but preferred the peace of cliff cottage-no seagulls to wake you up in the morning- whilst really easy to get into St Ives by the train practically on your door step. Very welcoming and helpful housekeeper. Have stayed in many cottages throughout the UK and cliff cottage will be top of my list- can't wait to come back. |

Cliff Cottage is a wonderful and very traditional property with stunning seaviews and a 24 hrs wave sound. We loved its history and all the lovely old details, like windows, floortales, knobs and kitchentools, which could tell stories of the centuries and the people who had lived here. I loved the old cooker, it reminded me of a timetraveller's machine....wonderful!! Deborah made us a warm and very friendly wellcome!!! We loved to stay here and hope to come back soon! Whenever you plan to spend your holidays in Cliff Cottage you should love to be surrounded by antiques, simple but characterful interior and please make sure that you are willing to care for all the lovely housedetails incl. shells and collected stranded goods from the beach, if you do so, you will have one of the most unforgetable stays you ever had! |

With the most beautiful coastal views, this wonderful, well cared-for house with all its period features, and with everything one needs, is the perfect place to stay for an unforgettable holiday. The location is excellent, being within walking distance of shops, beach and Carbis Bay station, enabling easy rail trips to St. Ives and Hayle (where it meets the mainline to London and Penzance). |
