You'll immediately feel at home in Beach Court, a stylish and contemporary self-contained ground floor apartment in a former artist's studio. Fully refurbished and modernised, it offers a comfortable sitting room, with integrated dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms with new double memory foam beds and a shower room with power shower. It has a private courtyard entrance, ideal for sitting out in the afternoon sun.
Light floods into the apartment in the morning and evening, and is enhanced by the clean white interior and stripped original wooden flooring throughout. We've decorated it with original paintings and photographs by local artists, true to its origins as a 1960's artist's home and studio.

The apartment can accommodate up to three people in two double bedrooms. One bed is a memory foam 4' 6"divan; the other is a 4' pocket sprung divan. Fitted wardrobes in each bedroom, each with hairdryer and clock radio/alarm.
The kitchen is fully equipped for four, with oven, four ring hob and microwave.
Power mains shower.
Central heating with thermostatically controlled radiators.
Relax in the evenings with a flat screen digital TV/radio which has an integrated DVD player, i-pod dock and Freeview channels. We have a library with books of local interest and a collection of DVDs for our guests.

Space is at a premium in St Ives, particularly in the Downalong area, as anyone who has visited St Ives will know! Beach Court is a private courtyard with flowerbeds, and provides a secluded sitting area for guests. Ball games and the hanging of washing are forbidden in Beach Court, so it is a quiet and attractive area to relax in.
Porthgwidden Beach, with its acclaimed Porthgwidden restaurant and terrace café are only steps away. The Island, a former neolithic hill fort, is on the doorstep, as is the Coastal Path, so the apartment is ideally situated for walks.
Views across St Ives Bay towards Godrevy Lighthouse and Gwithian. The famous Porthmeor Beach (a surfers' paradise) is just around the corner.
The nearest car park is the Island car park, 100 metres from the apartment.
An amenity pack is provided to start you off.
All bed linen and towels (including tea towels) is provided, but you must bring your own beach towels.
A 50 per cent deposit is payable at the time of booking.
£100 damages deposit cheque is payable on arrival, and will be returned/ destroyed after a satisfactory inspection on check out.
Our house manager will prepare the apartment for your arrival. You will be given a code so you can access the keys whatever time you arrive.

It’s not surprising that Coast magazine has voted St Ives 'Best Family Holiday Destination' - May 2010. The Porthgwidden Restaurant and Cafe has just been awarded 'Best Beach restaurant' - May 2012 - and it's steps from the One Beach Court apartment. St Ives has five wonderful beaches and truly breathtaking scenery from the coastal paths. It’s an all year round resort so there’s always something going on. There is a wide range of pubs, excellent quality restaurants, unique shops and art galleries, showing work by local artists from the thriving and renowned art colony. The Tate St Ives is world renowned and attracts visitors throughout the year.
St Ives seems to have a 'micro-climate' as it really is much milder here than other parts of the UK. The coastguards' website gives accurate information. Our thermometer at Beach Court did not dip below zero this past winter!
Porthgwidden Beach, which is 30 metres from the apartment, has retained the highest standard for water in the Clean Beach Guide, published in May 2010. The Lonely Planet Guide, published in June 2009, describes St Ives as "the perfect holiday heaven".
The Tate St Ives is open all year round, as well as the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. St Ives Festival takes place in September, with art, music, dance and literary events and poetry to interest all ages.
The location of Beach Court is absolutely ideal for those who want to either spend the day on the beach, take the short walk (five minutes at most) into town, or to venture along the coastal path towards Carbis Bay or Zennor. There is a car park very close to the house - the Island car park, as well as a beach shop and high-quality beach cafe and renowned restaurant on Porthgwidden Beach. "Lovely seaside cottage"
The two of us stayed at 1 Beach Court for a few nights whilst visiting St. Ives. The cottage is lovely - bright and airy with a simple, seaside feel. It's situated just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre, but out of the way enough for us not to be bothered by any late-night noise. The back window looks right out onto the beach, which is just a stroll away. We found everything we needed for our stay, and the owner was very helpful and even provided suggestions for local restaurants and places to visit. We had a really good time and would be happy to come back to this cute little Cornish cottage.

"A perfect location for enjoying a St Ives seaside holiday."
We were lucky to be able to rent this modern and well equipped apartment during half term so we could stay nearby our family who come to St Ives every year at this time. As Grandparents, we don't want to walk too far to get to the beach as we like to be able to come and go. This location is ideal as we could get to the beach quickly and easily, also the Porthgwidden Cafe - excellent for lunch, dinner, and takeaway snacks, and get a great view of the sea, and an even better one a very short walk away! We had good weather, and enjoyed the sight of seals swimming close to the beach on a regular basis!
The arrangements for arrival and access to the property were very convenient. Some seaside equipment was available for us to use - windbreak/ deck chairs etc
The owner of One Beach Court made us really welcome, with fresh flowers on our arrival. We were recommended St Ives car park, a privately run secure car park facility that worked out really well too.
This is an ideal location especially for people like us who may not be able to walk so far these days, but want to enjoy all the best of a seaside break.
We had a great stay, and hope to return next year

"perfect relaxing hideaway for a couple or small family"
We booked beach court for a long weekend in beautiful Saint Ives to make the most of the walks, art and restaurants. The owner was very friendly and helpful throughout the booking process. Beach court is clean, well stocked and cared for, in a quiet location near the smaller town beach. With a powerful shower, decent cooking facilities, and cosy bedrooms, the accommodation offers a good base camp to explore the area and somewhere nice to return to at night. Located so close to the island means you can easily enjoy the best spot to catch the amazing sunsets and sunrise over the town. We could have happily stayed the week.

"Great location!! Everything you need for a comfortable and chilled holiday!"
I stayed here for 4 nights in December and it was just perfect for me and my mate. We had a bedroom each, and enjoyed the powerful shower and being so close to Porthgwidden cafe & beach. Although we were lazy and didn't bother cooking much, the kitchen had everything we would have needed. Would certainly rebook with my girlfriend, the location is just fantastic!

"A lovely apartment, just a stone's throw from the beach"
My partner and I enjoyed a week at One Beach Court in July when we attended a wedding in St Ives. I looked long and hard for an apartment that was not at the top of the town (up the steep hills) but that offered value for money in the busy (and expensive) school holidays.
What sold me on Beach Court was the distance to the beach - it is literally a stones throw away from the lovely Porthgwidden Beach featuring the wonderful Porthgwidden cafe where we had a delicious breakfast one day and a seafood supper on another. It is also very easy to walk into town and infact, to get anywhere in St Ives.
St Ives has several lovely beaches but the Porthgwidden one is a little more tucked away and, whilst it was busy in the school hols, I would imagine it would be a real haven out of peak times.
The apartment itself is compact and bijous. there is no getting away from the fact that it is fairly small and, although it has two bedrooms, it's really only big enough for a couple or a couple and one baby/child. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes which helps with the space issue. It is generally well-equipped and has everything you need in the kitchen plus and iron etc for use if needs be. My only comment would be that there is probably too much furniture in the living space.
Like the rest of the apartment, the bathroom is clean and tidy and the shower is more than powerful enough to remove the sand from the day.
I don't like to finish on a negative but BE AWARE the car parking spaces is a LONG way away from the apartment. Once we had eventually found it, It then took us about 25 mins to walk back.
All in all, a lovely place to stay, seconds from the beach and only minutes from the town. I would book if you are a couple or a small family.
