Home description
The startling feature of this house is its panoramic views across St Ives bay to Godrevy lighthouse and beyond. Originally designed to be a two bedroom ground floor flat with a large artist’s studio upstairs, the house has been redesigned to include two bathrooms and two bedrooms. Upstairs the artist’s studio is spacious with vaulted ceilings and cross beams, and has breathtaking views. There are windows on three sides of the house, making it light and airy. The interior of the house is painted white throughout, and is decorated with original paintings and photographs by local artists. It is furnished simply and comfortably, keeping its original 1960's character.

The West Country / Cornwall region
It’s not surprising that The Guardian (14 July 2007) voted St Ives Britain’s best seaside resort in 2007. It has wonderful beaches and truly breathtaking scenery from the coastal paths. It’s an all year round resort so there’s always something going on. There is a wide range of pubs, excellent quality restaurants, unique shops and art galleries, showing work by local artists from the thriving and renowned art colony.
SEPTEMBER FESTIVAL 2008 : 6-20 September A truly great time to be in St Ives. There's something for everyone; music, art, poetry, lectures, walks... http://www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk/
St Ives / Downalong area
The Tate St Ives is open all year round, as well as the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. St Ives Festival takes place in September, with art, music, dance and poetry to interest all ages.
The location of Beach Court is absolutely ideal for those who want to either spend the day on the beach, take the short walk five minutes into town, or to venture along the coastal path towards Carbis Bay or Zennor. There is a car park very close to the house, as well as a beach shop selling newspapers, as well as a high-quality beach cafe and restaurant on Porthgwidden Beach.

Guestbook
"So, so sad to leave. We've had such an amazing time - gprgeous sunny days on Porthgwidden Beach, a lovely walk to Zennor, and lunch in the Tinner's Arms. Arrived home to a real treat - dolphins, seven of them in the bay! What a fantastic view the windows upstairs give." Becky and Jake, Scarborough
"What a fab house to chill out in and watch the world go by!" Emma, Bath
"The house was a wonderful base to draw in with no distractions. Blissfully starting the day - a cup of tea on the beach - something I will really miss. I can't wait to come back in August." Adrian, London
"What a wonderful week. We ventured over to the Isles of Scilly which were fantastic - hardly anyone around, so we had Tresco Gardens to ourselves! We saw the sunset at Cape Cornwall and had lovely meals at Porthgwidden and the Blue Fish - yum!" Nick and Nadia, London
"Thank you so much for a lovely week - my umbrella has stayed unpacked and the sun cream has flowed! Just what was needed :) Ah well... back to Yorkshire." Chris and Karen, York
