The West Country region
Nestled in the West Of Cornwall on a penisular, St.Ives offeers the visitor a diverse and interesting holiday. The wonderful light of the region has been a draw for artists for decades and led to the building of the stunning Tate Gallery on Porthmeor Beach.
The three beaches offer drama and tranquility, the Atlantic high rollers smashing the western beaches while young familes play happily in the golden sands at Porthminster.
The winding alleys and fishermans cottages disguise a thriving culture art, theatre and music. As a family holiday it is simple and stress free- whatever the children's ages. Bucket and spade, crab line and pasties or barbecue can fill the day. Hire surf boards or join the teeenagers to a lesson. Enjoy the jazz at the hotel, or a blues band at the Lifeboat Inn.
