Beautifully furnished to the highest standard this stunning apartment has everything for a relaxing beach holiday in the summer as well as being an ideal base all year round.
Dip into the many art galleries, sample the fresh seafood in the beachside restaurants, enjoy the carnival atmosphere of hot summer evenings on the quay, marvel at the thunderous Atlantic waves from the coastal path or take them on with a surf board. If you have no luck fishing from the rocks, watch the boats haul in their catches, take some home or roast on a beach barbecue.Watching the sun set on a summer evening as the fresh fish cooks and the dolphins dive across the bay is hard to beat.
Even on a dreary day, the apartment is light, bright and relaxing. Sitting with a book in the bay windows , relaxing on the balcony or preparing a meal of local seafood in the kitchen always has the backdrop of the dramatic Atlantic waves.
Ten minutes walk will take you to the coast path or train station to explore the l local villages and coastline.

Converted from a luxury hotel into six apartments, number four is the largest. Entry is through the unusual spiral staicase housed in a lighthouse design. Large double fronted bay windows soak the flat in the extraordinary bright sunlight of the region, much loved by decades of artists.The fully fitted open kitchen gives access to the view of the Atlantic horizon. There is an expresso coffe machine, so bring your favorite coffee.
Internet is accessed by hard wire or using the code on the hub for Wi-fi.
The lounge is comfortable and spacious, equipped with three and two seater leather sofas. The main bedroom at the front has views of the beach and coast line and an en suite bathroom. The extra shower in the main bathroom makes life easy when everyone comes up from the beach at the same time or you all try to leave for an evening out together.
Both bedrooms have VHS players and a small scree with a variety of VHS movies. There is a small selection of books, board games and DVD's. A cupboard in the hall stores nets, buckets and fishing lines.

There is a narrow balcony at the front of the flat, accessed from the lounge. Sunny in the late summer afternoon and early evening it is a lovely spot for a cool glass of wine. Parking is available immediatley outside in the Barnoon car park. You can unload outside the flat on arrival before trying to find a parking spot. Unless you have special plans to spend your holiday driving, you may prefer to make use of the larger car park by the leisure centre and buy a week long ticket (around £35). It is a twenty minute walk back. You may be lucky if you have arrived early enough on a Saturday to get a spot in the Barnoon car park opposite the flat but in the height of summer space is a premium.

Linen & towels will be included. The kitchen has everything you would expect to need, microwave, fan oven, fridge freezer,washing machine, expresso machine, waste disposal. DVD player in lounge, CD player and radio. VHS players in each bedroom, with a selection of tapes, DVDs and books. Access is by a spiral staircase to the first floor, fine for toddlers under supervision and quite manageable.

The three beaches offer drama and tranquility, the Atlantic high rollers smashing the western beaches while young familes play happily in the golden sands at Porthminster.
The St Ives area
The winding alleys and fishermans cottages disguise a thriving culture art, theatre and music.As a family holiday it is simple and stress free- whatever the children's ages. Bucket and spade, crab line and pasties or barbecue can fill the day. Hire surf boards or join the teeenagers to a lesson. Enjoy the jazz at the hotel, or a blues band at the Lifeboat Inn.

Most visitors drive and these days the road (A30) is dual carriagway most of the way.4-5 hours from the midlands, 7 from London. Car parking can be a problem in St.Ives, especially in peak season. Because there is a car park right outside the flat, finding a space is easy. Allow £35 a week to park.
Many still travel by train, the station is a 15 minute walk.
The Sleeper train from London is a lovely way to travel, changing only at St.Erth for the spectacular cliff top shuffle into picturesque St.Ives.Newquay Airport is a short ride away and connects to most Uk and European Airports.
