How to find 3 Wesley Flats, Wesley Place, St Ives, Cornwall, TR26 1SL NB NOT 3 WESLEY PLACE You will pass a Tesco supermarket on a roundabout on the A3074 and soon after arrive in St Ives at the mini roundabout follow ‘Harbour’ signs off the to the right and into the start of St Ives town. Follow the road past the railway station and the bus terminus there will be a sharp (and tight) right bend and then there are shops on both side of this narrow street down the hill over a tiny junction until Barclays bank appears infront of you, carry on until you reach Barclays bank then turn left here and go up the incline (there is a church on the right at the bottom of this slope as you turn in) it looks like a no entry but you can go up Bedford Road, the 3rd turning on the left is Wesley Place and so is the 4th – take the 4th turning, near the end of this road is a pedestrian only alleyway, blocked of with two bollards, you can stop here to drop off luggage. The property is in the house at the end of the alleyway, easily identified as it is white with blue windows. The door is around the corner – Yellow with a number 3 and the garden and paved area directly outside the stable door belongs to the property.

The location was perfect for us-2 minutes from the Guildhall where my husband joined in Easter judo class. and the weather was horrible when we stayed, but we did not have to walk around St Ives. As described- stores and take away, cafe, a cinema, restaurants, pubs, etc- all were within 2 minutes. very convenient. The place has a character. As someone reviewed before, the narrow stairs to the bedroom may not be good for old people or big person, it was well designed to maximise the space. The kitchen has everything too. (except a washing machine, but a laundrette is a few minute away). The room is very warm too. It is ideal for a couple rather than a family with small kids and old people. The cottage itself is perfect for a couple.
Only problem we had was another property upstairs- a family with 2 small kids who tend to get up very early in the morning moved in the next day of our arrival had made noise by going up and down on two stairs surrounding the cottage (one must be located next to our bedroom, and another one is outside which takes them to their entrance), especially in the bedroom. The wall in this building is very thin and we heard every single word they were saying as well as they were walking around. It would have been a perfect place for us if this family upstairs did not move in and had waken up us everyday during our holiday. But definitely, we want to come back here. (maybe avoiding the kids holiday period).
Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments, the great thing about St Ives is there is always something going on whatever the weather. I am sorry you were disturbed by the neighbours, we are currently improving the sound proofing between the flats and hope this will resolve the issue. We look forward to being able to accommodate you again. All best wishes Julianne

“A wonderful, cosy and quirky little getaway and perfectly located”
The cottage was lovely and warm, with a well equipped kitchen (I even cooked our xmas dinner). We were impressed with the modern little bathroom with its amazing shower, and enjoyed relaxing in the evening on the comfy sofa - we felt really at home. The spiral staircase takes a little practice but it just adds to the charm of this fab little place. Location is ideal, only a short walk from all the lovely shops, pubs and restaurants - St Ives is a great place to explore, we had some lovely walks around the town, harbour and beaches with our 2 dogs - they loved it too. We wished we could have stayed longer, the week went so quickly - we had a wonderful cosy Xmas holiday and look forward to returning.
Response: Oh Sharon, Thank you so much for your kind comments, so glad you had a good stay, we always feel so rested when we have been there, snuggling up and winter walks the perfect end to the day. Hope we can accommodate you again and thank you for leaving it beautifully. All best wishes Julianne
WE loved this little cottage... so much so I don't really want to give it a good review so we can keep it to ourselves! It is small but as they say all good things come in small packages. Little galley kitchen with all we needed, simple but lovely decoration all round and colours that made you feel at home. We loved some of the personal art work on the walls especially the one of the cottage itself. The bedroom was at the top of a spiral staircase so possibly not for the big bottom mamma's out there! The bathroom was again small but lovely and the shower was great especially after a session body boarding in the September sea! It does have central heating which not all the cottages in St Ives do so perfect for winter retreats too. It was lovely and central with a two min walk into town and the harbour but just that bit away for it to be a quiet little hideway.... I am not saying anymore because I want to keep it our secret!!!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments and for booking again for next year. We are delighted that you love the little hideaway as much as we do. All the best Julianne.

“cosy and homely”
Perfect base for myself and two teenagers, though would have been a bit of a squash in my husband joined us! Comfortable and cosy and well appointed. Recommended.
Response: Thank you, think you summed it up perfectly, ideal for a couple but if you just need somewhere to sleep, after surf, sun and shopping, then it is a perfect base, thank you for taking time to comment, hope we can accommodate you and your husband next time!

“A nice little hide-away in St Ives”
We loved our break in St Ives and the flat, with its central location, was a great base from which to explore the town. It is cosy and well-appointed with a great little kitchen and a good shower/bath. We look forward to a return visit.
Response: Thank you guys, so glad you enjoyed it and thank you for you kind message in the message book too, I always love to read them. Look forward to accommodating you again soon. Best wishes Julianne
“lovely little hideaway in the middle of a nostalgic holiday town”
To be honest, I'd rather *not* recommend this lovely little hideaway in the middle of nostalgic holiday town St. Ives, as one hopes it would stay a secret place for the lucky ones forever... but that would be rather selfish... 3 Wesley Flats is a hidden gem, perfect for shorter and longer holiday breaks, good value for money, if you're staying there for a longer period of time self-catering is definitely an option, as the kitchen is well-equiped, but then, St. Ives is full of the best little restaurants and tearooms to serve you from breakfast till dinner, the Atlantic is offering everything from a good surf till nice and calm views, and the gulls provide the perfect soundtrack for a little voyage back in time to the sort of nostalgic holidays from the adventure books you liked to read during rainy afternoons as a child drinking ginger beer and nibbling on famous chocolate cookies... but hey, in St. Ives it never rains, even when it rains, or we've been just very lucky the times we spent there... kids and teenagers and their (grand)parents will have a great time here, but for adolescents St. Ives might be a wee bit too much like yesterday. Definitely will try to come back and recommend this place to friends. WiFi would make the place just perfect, as St. Ives is infamous for its bad cell phone reception... But hey, who's complaining, really?!
Response: Thank you so much for taking time to compose your lovely review, it makes me want to go there all the more! I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and welcome you and your friend back anytime. Thank you for choosing to book with us and share our little peice of paradise. Best wishes Julianne

“A lovely and comfortable home-from-home. Excellent location”
I have just spent a wonderful May bank holiday in St Ives with my fiance. The cottage was perfect: very well-equipped and cosy. We were looking for somewhere to chill out, and it was ideal! Very comfy bed and sofa - in fact, we enjoyed it so much that we scrapped our plans to dine out and we took a take-away back on 2 nights (from the bottom of the street - Mr Yeung's chinese...yum!), and just enjoyed relaxing in the cottage! Excellent powerful shower too! Location is great - just a couple of minutes to walk to the harbour. I would recommend this cottage without hesitation.
Response: Sam I am so delighted that you had a great time, thank you for taking time to make these kind comments and we look forward to accommodating you again in the future. Best wishes Julianne
This is the second time we have stayed at the appartment. It's in a great location just off the main high street so pubs, bars, restaurants and walks are a stones throw away. All the rooms are functional and clean. The only issue might be access to the bedroom for older people and the spiral staircase is quite steep.
Can't wait to stay again!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments and for taking time to complete the review. We look forward to being able to accommodate you again too and thank you for choosing to book with us again. Best wishes Julianne

“St Ives holiday home”
What a lovely relaxing little cottage! We have just got back but would have loved to have stayed longer!! very cosy 'small but perfectly formed'. So close to the shops and beaches fantastic! We did some wonderful coastal walks so much to do so little time definately want to stay longer next time. The owners are very helpful and easily contactable. We recommend the cornish deli cafe best cooked brekkie and lunches!! great staff nothing too much trouble and free wi fi. And so close to the cottage.
Response: So pleased you enjoyed your short break. Lovely there this time of year and nice to see some recommendations of local attractions. Hope to be able to accommodate you again in the future, thanks for taking time to comment Trip Advisor. All best wishes Julianne

“Cute little place in a convenient location”

Response: So pleased you has a good trip Louise thank you for your kind comments and we hope to be able to accommodate you again in the future. Regards Julianne
My boyfriend and I had a lovely few days at the cottage. I spend a lot of time in Cornwall staying at various places and this cottage is very competitively priced and the short break offers are extremely good value - I would not have been able to stay in St Ives otherwise. It is simply arranged, making good use of the little space. I would say that the spiral stairs are tricky for any older visitors. A tip for those who are staying outside of summer months - we found free on road parking (no lines) in Trelawney Rd and Southfield Place - about 5 minutes walk uphill (Bullan's lane), but far better than parking extortionate sums!
Response: I am so pleased you had a good time Roo and now that you have found us hopefully we will be able to accommodate you (or your friends) again, great tip on parking, I actually think it is better out of season. Best wishes Julianne

“clean and comfortable with an easy level walk to town”
i have been here 5 times and always found it very clean and comfortable but this is a small compact apartment. its a quiet spot yet only 5 minutes away from the sea and town. landlord has always been easy to deal it and i am always sad to leave.
Response: Thank you Theo for your lovely comments and for your continued support we are pleased you do not get bored of the place!. Look forward to hearing from you again soon. All the best. Julianne

“A very charming and convenient place to stay right in the heart of St Ives.”
An excellent place to stay for a couple of people. I only stayed three nights, so lots more to explore and see in St Ives and surrounding areas. The cottage was very clean and had character. Thoroughly recommend.
Response: Thank you for your kind words Victoria. I look forward to hearing from you if we can be of assistance again in the future for some more exploring! Thank you for choosing to book with us. Best wishes Julianne

“What a very cosy cottage and wonderful place to visit & stay at.”
Thank you for your new year wishes, I meant to do this before but I just wanted to say this little 'home from home' was recommended to us by a friend, which I have to say I am usually slightly dubious about, however this little place was in a perfect location to reach everything with ease. The accommodation 'did what it said on the tin' and we really enjoyed our bargain break. The shower is better than the one we have at home and the bathroom was shining like a new pin with granite surfaces. The beaches last April were like being in the Med, we have recommended it to our friends and infact we have booked again for April, if only we could book the sunshine too!
Response: Thank you for your kind comments, it is always nice when someone makes a referral and it turns out to be a good one! We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again soon. Best wishes Julianne

“Cosy and Quaint”
This cosy little hideaway is nicely situated within a short stroll of the harbour, yet sufficiently tucked away to afford peace and quiet when you need it. We visited in Feb when the wind was keen to say the least, so it was nice to stay somewhere a little more sheltered! It's compact but very well equipped and has a charm all its own. Whilst there's no immediate parking at the property, it's very easy to load/unload a car just a few yards away from the front door (approached by a shallow ramping pathway) and there's longer-term parking nearby. The spiral staircase may place some limitations if you're contemplating taking your grandma to the seaside but if you have kids of school age they'll probably love it. Toddlers would require a little more attention, but I guess that's true of any staircase. StIves itself is full of great places to shop, eat and drink and we particularly liked the abundance of stylish galleries, not forgetting of course, Tate StIves.
Response: Thank you so much for taking time to share your experiences on here, I agree with your kind comments and look forward to being able to accommodate you again in the future. Best wishes Julianne

“Great place to stay in St Ives - central, cosy and comfortable”
With friends I enjoyed a short break in March at this cottage. It is a very comfortable and cosy place to stay and just a few minutes walk from the harbour and the centre of St Ives. We enjoyed fabulous weather and were able to sit outside in the sunshine having our breakfast each morning. The accomodation has a double room and a sofa bed which was perfect for the three of us staying - it is small but perfectly formed. The bathroom is brand new and very smart. I look forward to returning in the near future.

“Couldn't be better”
What a lovely cottage, clean, tidy, everything you could want or need provided. Right in the town centre, a few minutes from the beach and harbour. Quiet, easy access and comfortable. A lovely holiday, thank you very much from all of us.
Response: Thank you so much for taking time to complete the trip advisor and for your kind comments. Look forward to hearing from you again in the future. Best wishes Julianne
I have stayed here a few times now and we love it. It has a lovely cosey cottage feel. It's close enough to walk to everything in St Ives but tucked away from the noise and bussle of the main streets. Seagulls can be noisey but not much you can do about that and they are all over St Ives. Winding stair case could be tricky if you have walking troubles but does add to the features of the cottage. We will be going again for a lovely relaxing break.

“My favourite "little home in St. Ives!"”
This little cottage is absolutely ideal and I had the best holiday ever from mid-September 2010 to mid-October. So much so that I am returning for six weeks this year, same time period! Although small, everything is there, and you don't feel cramped at all, just cosy. I took my little dog with me, and he loved the garden and being able to see "comings and goings" through the stable door. It is so handy for town, within a couple of minutes walk is the launderette, the doctor's surgery, two or three pubs, indian and chinese takeaways, the seafront, the shops, the library, the cinema, - just about everything you can think of, and once you have parked your car (there isn't a car parking space with the cottage) you don't really need it again unless you are going out of town. Oh and the bathroom is fab too, with a great shower! I loved this house, and it really feels like a second home! If there are any down sides, then I would say maybe the spiral staircase is a bit tricky, but if you know in advance, then you learn to negotiate it, and there is only the bedroom upstairs, so it's not as if you have to go up and down all day. All in all, thoroughly recommended!

A lovely, cosy little place tucked away in a quiet back street right in the heart of St Ives. Only a couple of minutes walk to all the local amenities - shops, restaurants, pubs, etc. Accommodation is clean and comfortable with quirky features including a spiral staircase up to the bedroom on the first floor! We have stayed here a few times now and will definitely be returning in the future.
