Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2
This unique building started life as a granite store where the local fishermen hung their nets to dry. Then it became ' the old workshop' where they mended and repaired their fiishing nets and lobster pots.
Just a stone's throw from the harbour The Old Workshop has been converted to an unusual and interesting holiday home set in the old fishing quarter of St. Ives known as Downalong.
The ground floor consists of a double bedroom, dining kitchen and fully tiled shower room with wash handbasin and wc. An attractive pine staircase leads to a galleried living room with a sofa bed.
The Old Workshop is ideally situated for a walk into town along the harbour front where there are many choices of restaurants catering for all tastes. It is also within walking distance of all of St. Ives golden sandy beaches. Park the car and forget it. Life could not be easier.
The Tate Gallery, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is a mere five minute walk away. Enjoy one of the many exhibitions or just stop by for a coffee or afternoon tea in the restaurant and take in the spectacular views.
