Duneside
About the home
Duneside (sleeps 4-6) is in a prime front row position at Atlantic Coast Holiday Park, with uninterrupted views of the dunes, which dominate the landscape. A 10 minute walk will take you to the sea, and the 3 miles of golden sand that fringes St Ives Bay. The park itself holds a David Bellamy Award, and the sand dunes are a designated Site of Specific Scientific Interest. With just 50 caravans, mostly privately owned, the atmosphere is one of quietness and peace.
The caravan is a luxury top-of-the-range ABI Ashcroft model, brand new for 2008. It has a main bedroom with kingsize bed, a smaller twin bedroom, and a double sofa bed in the lounge for extra accommodation. The kitchen/dining room is separated from the lounge by double doors, and the fittings and free standing furniture are such that it feels more like a home than a caravan! The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, and has exits both into the corridor and master bedroom. .
The area around has many attractions - from one of the top surfing and wind kiting beaches, to visits to St Ives, Lands End, St Michael's Mount, The Eden Project, The Minnack Theatre , The Lost Gardens of Heligan and many more....the visitor is spoilt for choice!

The West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall is the warmest part of the UK. It is a place of beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs and open spaces.
Once known for its tin mining , now the ruins of deserted engine houses adorn the countryside. It is a place to be explored, and once discovered, never forgotten.
The St Ives / Gwithian area
St Ives is a quaint fishing village, where it is easy to step back in time, and imagine a past era.
It is famous as a centre for artists, and houses an extension of the Tate gallery.
Hayle borders St Ives Bay, and the Hayle Estuary is a natural habitat for birdlife. Close by are the famous landmarks of Lands End and St Michaels Mount.
Many parts of Cornwall are in easy reach, such as the Lizard peninsular and the River Fal. Also day trips to the Scilly Isles.

Immaculate, welcoming, excellent facilities and generously appointed with linen, cutlery, crockery and cleaning equipment. Attractive decking for outdoor socializing and relaxing. Easy access to dunes and stunning three mile beach, with commanding views and glorious sunsets. Convenient for all amenities, and quite central to some of the finest coastal paths in the country. The Camp facilities are also excellent should you require them. |
