Breakaway Lodge is a newly renovated and delightful self-catering holiday chalet situated within the popular St Ives Holiday Village and the perfect place to 'break away' from it all! Whether in the height of the busy summer holidays, or out of season and requiring a peaceful retreat as a base for walking, bird-watching and the like, Breakaway lodge is perfectly located just 3 miles from the historic and picturesque fishing village of St Ives, many stunning beaches, and local tourist attractions such as Land's End, Flambards, The Eden Project and The Minack Theatre.

The property is a purpose built end of terrace stone cottage with an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area furnished with comfortable sofas, wall-mounted LCD TV with DVD, dining area for 4 and all the mod-cons and kitchen extras expected for the comfort of all guests.

Both bedrooms and family bathroom have also been refitted in early 2014 with brand new contemporary fittings, furnishings and linen throughout. Light Grey Oak laminate flooring throughout living/dining rooms with carpeting in both bedrooms for comfort. uPVC double glazed windows with French doors opening to the garden were also fitted in November 2014.

Within the tranquil setting, guests have access to the entire 100 acre woodland park including the Woodland Nature Trail to enjoy the wildlife and stunning scenery, suitable for both children and adults alike. Family entertainment is available at the main clubhouse (just a short 5 minute walk), with indoor heated pool, bar with free Wi-fi, restaurant, games and many additional facilities suitable for the entire family to relax, unwind and enjoy. The majority of these facilities are included within the rental price with only a few at extra cost (such as sauna, launderette etc).

Please also note - all linen is provided except for towels which guests will need to bring (both bath & swimming)

The woodland walks and general park are open throughout the year although the main John Fowler park facilities are CLOSED from 1 November to March (reception, entertainments, bar, pool, shop etc)

The 3 miles of golden sands of the Hayle Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse is only 15 mins drive.

Boat trips / fishing trips – St Ives / Penzance

Minack Theatre - set into the hillside near Porthcurno.

Paradise park in Hayle is a good day out for all ages - animals and activities.

Flambards Experience Theme Park, Helston - approx 20 minutes away.

World famous Eden Project approx 30 mins drive.

Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Mousehole, Fowey/Helford Passage, Falmouth (Maritime Museum), Padstow (fishing & famous restaurants), Newquay (Watergate Bay, '15' Restaurant, beaches, surfing)

There are major supermarkets (Tesco, Co-op, Marks & Spencer, Boots) all within 10 minutes drive of the holiday village.


Lelant Saltings (the Hayle estuary) is within 2 miles walk

Godrevy and Hayle sands are only 15 mins drive

St Ives Beaches are a short bus or train ride - or just 10 mins drive

Tregenna Castle - President's Golf Course -4 miles

"A great base to explore Cornwall from..."

Breakaway Lodge is a modern, comfortable 2 bedroom chalet in a woodland setting that has been completely re-furbished in 2014. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, well equipped and has everything you will need for a fantastic holiday in this beautiful part of Cornwall. The owners, Jules & Tom, provided excellent communication through the booking process and comprehensive pre-stay information that we found really useful. The site has a swimming pool and clubhouse that provides nightly entertainment (although we didn't use these so cant comment) and also a small supermarket, that we found very useful. Car parking is available directly outside Breakaway Lodge which was very convenient. We would recommend Breakaway Lodge without hesitation for couples and families wanting a modern, comfortable base for their Cornwall holiday.

"An excellent base- compact, very clean and well cared for."

We had a lovely week at Breakaway Lodge. It was exceptionally clean and well presented and there were lovely touches when we arrived- tea/coffee/small bottle of wine/popcorn for boys! All very welcome. It is a small chalet, but we knew that and when you are out and about all day this is not an issue. It is ideal for exploring the area and there is a bus service from the park to St. Ives, which helps as parking in St. Ives is difficult. The bathroom was very clean and the shower lovely- could have done with a towel rail/hooks but this is very minor! Our only minor issue was that a corner sofa would have helped massively- when with 2 adults and a 14 year old (man size!) and 11 year old we found it a bit restrictive on the small 2 seaters! The information in the property is excellent and really helps with finding out about the local area. We would visit again happily.

"Relaxing, comfortable, couldnt ask for more!"

The property surpassed our expectations for décor and comfort. All our needs were catered for and the property guide was very informative with lots of info on local services as well as tourist information and leaflets.
We particularly liked the personal touches that the owners left such as a welcome basket and magazines. It was also nice to have a selection of books and DVDs to use during our stay.

The chalet is also in a great location within the park, not too far from the clubhouse and with parking literally next to the property.

We will definitely be back!

"Great Place, Great Location"

This is a great place to stay and very well equipped, we stayed for 4 nights and couldn't of asked for a nicer place to stay. decorated to a high standard and in a great location, it was the perfect place to stay.
