Chestnut Barn is an ideal place to relax and unwind. It's peaceful location is perfect for a romantic getaway with quiet beaches, long walks and a superb selection of restaurants and cafes not too far away.
For families, there is plenty of space for the kids to run around safely and within a short driving distance there are plenty of activities in the surrounding area to keep them occupied.
With one double and one twin bedroom, Chestnut is welcoming and comfortable and the outside terrace area and gardens allow guests to dine al fresco on balmy summer evenings.

Taskus is situated in almost two acres of grounds and guests have the use of a pretty courtyard, with their own private terrace and barbeque area. Each terrace has a table and chairs, umbrella and a kettle barbeque for those balmy summer evenings. We also have a large paddock where children can play safely and families can have a campfire and cookout or just kick a football around.

When you arrive you will find a complimentary welcome tray, providing what you need to make a welcome cup of tea or coffee and something for breakfast the next day. Or if you arrive late, or just can’t be bothered, you can order a simple supper, which we will have ready to pop in the oven when you get here.
We have tried to think of everything our guests would want from their perfect holiday home and to provide a welcoming, friendly place in which to stay. Come and stay soon.

A security deposit of £150 is payable with your final balance. This is fully refundable within 2 weeks of your departure providing certain criteria have been met
A deposit of 25% of the holiday cost is required at the time of booking
The West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall is a truly inspirational county to visit! With so much natural beauty, history and stunning coastline, visitors can never tire of things to do.
For families there’s obviously the beaches, the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, Flambards Experience (a theme park), Helston; Lands End Visitors Centre; a zoo and aquarium in Newquay and a Seal Sanctuary in Helston. If the weather’s not so good there is also Paradise Park, just down the road (it has a jungle barn) and the Play Zone in St Ives. There’s also a go-karting track less than 10 minutes away.
For foodies there is an ever increasing number of very good restaurants (Fifteen in Newquay, Stein's in Padstow, Porthminster Cafe in St Ives) to name but a few, as well as a growing band of seriously good producers supplying wine, cheese, bread, fish and meat. St Ives has a food festival in July and Truro has one in September.
For those wanting to be active there is a golf course in Lelant, trout fishing, riding, surfing, rambling and much more.
The St Ives / Fraddam area
We have beaches just a 10 minute drive away - Godrevy/Gwithian beach is superb, great for surfers yet still safe for children. The quaint fishing port of St Ives is only a 20 minute drive away and is full of great restaurants and cafes, quirky, individual shops, and traditional seaside activities for families. Fames for its artistic light, St Ives boast the Tate Gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and a plethora of galleries.
And don't forget St Michaels Mount in the pretty village of Marazion, only 20 minutes away.
Within 30 minutes you could be surfing at Watergate Bay (or eating at Jamie's thirteen), wandering around Padstow (or eating fish and chips at Rick Steins) or just gazing in wonder at the view of Porthcurno beach from the Minnack Theatre - on a sunny day, even better than the mediterranean!
If you're a bird lover we have two RSPB nature reserves right on our doorstep at Hayle Estuary and Marazion Marsh.

Taskus Barns are just 10 minutes from the A30 in Fraddam, just outside Hayle. Full details of how to find us can be found on our website. Although Taskus is not isolated, we would recommend that our visitors have a car to get around.
