These include the famous surfing beach, Porthmeor, overlooked by the Tate Gallery. The town offers a host of leisure pursuits including surfing, water sports, a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, a golf course at the Tregenna Castle hotel and the challenging West Cornwall golf club at Lelant as well as delightful coastal walks.
St Ives is full of history, art and amongst the cobbled streets, a superb selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. It has developed a very cosmopolitan feel together with an art and culture scene with many studios and galleries which act as a magnet for visitors from all over the world.
With the influence of the Gulf Stream, this part of the UK enjoys a unique micro climate. St Ives has won the “Britain In Bloom” competition many timesand there is a blaze of colour all around the town.
