The West Country region
St Ives is probably the most well known of all of the Cornish towns, easy to reach by road, rail or by air.
Lose yourself in a maze of narrow cobbled streets and alleyways bursting with galleries, craft shops, artists studios and cafes.
Beaches with fine golden sand and the clear blue ocean where surfing, sunbathing or a leisurely walk along the coastal path will be popular with everyone.
There are wonderful views from the exhilarating cliff top walks, good surf at Porthmeor Beach and for the more cultural - An artists paradise with many galleries, the most famous (of course) being The Tate gallery.
The Tate Gallery.
New Millennium Gallery.
The Sloop Craft Market.
Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
St Ives School of Painting.
St Ives Ceramics.

The house was out of this world being from a larger family it is quite often difficult to find some where that can accomodate us all. Our parents used to love St Ives and we often came here as a family, now our parents are both gone coming down to St Ives brings back all the childhood memories and we know that our parents are not far from us.
The house is fantastic every room is spotless and well decorated it not to far from any of the shops and parking for our large minibus was only a short distance away, and the views across the coastline are breathtaking, it wasn't just a letting as soon as we arrived and opened the door it had the feeling of being at home. We are already booking our next trip home.

"Great Place to Stay"
My wife and I recently stayed at Bay Watch House and can't recommend this property enough. All the rooms are well appointed and its location is ideal for the beach and the town a like. The set up of the house is ideal and the views from the lounge would keep you occupied for hours alone. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family. Fair to say already considering re-booking for 2012 and we have only been back at home for 5 days.
Thank you. We look forward to your return.

"Spacious and comfortable house in a stunning location overlooking Porthmeor beach."
This is our second year in St Ives, last year we were a party of 7 and stayed in an OK house. This year we were a party of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) and therefore needed more space. Goodness me did we find a good house. Bay Watch House is located on top of the hill overlooking Porthmeor beach, with easy access to the Tate, all of the beaches and the shops and amenities of St Ives. The house doesn't look that spacious from outside, but is like Doctor Who's tardis: there is loads of space in the 6 bedrooms, dining room and 1st floor lounge. The latter affords an incredible sweeping view of Porthmeor, including stunning sunsets.
The house is clean and very well furnished, and the kitchen is very well supplied with pots, pans & utensils: something which is often overlooked in holiday houses.
We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend the property for large family groups, or two families sharing.
We are pleased you had an enjoyable holiday, thank you for your comments.
