About the home

Seaview is a stunning first floor luxury apartment, tastefully decorated and furnished to a high specification, with beautiful sea views from the lounge, both bedrooms, kitchen and balcony. Located just above Carbis Bay Beach, one of the best in the UK, it's less than a 5 minute walk to the water's edge and an ideal base for exploring the many wonderful attractions West Cornwall has to offer.

The property is light and spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and offers the option of a quality double sofa bed in the lounge for those who require more than 4 beds. There is a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge / diner, all of which lead out onto the balcony with its wonderful sea views across to St Ives. The balcony has a table and four chairs and is a perfect sun trap throughout the afternoon and evening, ideal for having a drink whilst watching the sun go down!

There are flat screen TVs in the lounge and both bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and a sound system with iphone docking. In addition there is a good range of games and books to keep you entertained. Outside the apartment there is a private parking space in addition to visitor parking available on a first come first served basis.

Carbis Bay with its blue flag beach is a great location and easy to reach by road or rail. The small train station located just a stone's throw away will take you into St Ives within 3 minutes and is probably the most scenic journey you are likely to take. Alternatively a walk along the coastal path with its breathtaking views of the bay will take around 20 minutes.

St Ives is a true gem with its cobbled streets, picturesque harbour, golden beaches and abundance of galleries and restaurants. It's easy to see why it was voted the 'best UK coastal resort' for 2012! And don't forget, this is just a taste of what Cornwall has to offer. With the Eden Project, St Michaels Mount, Flambards, Lands End and Paradise Park, to name but a few, there really is something for everyone.

From your King size bed in the master bedroom you will have views over the bay and to Godrevy Lighthouse.

The lounge/diner and both bedrooms have Samsung TV's with Freeview.

Towels and bed linen offer Egyptian Cotton quality giving you a luxurious feel.

The dining area can seat 6 people comfortably, plus you can also seat 4 people at the Kitchen table.

In addition to the family bathroom there is also an en-suite off the master bedroom

A Cot and High Chair are available on request.

The Balcony has a table, 4 chairs and has sea views across to St Ives harbour, as per the main photo.

There is a dedicated parking space in addition to visitor parking available on a first come first served basis.

The apartment is on the first floor of a block that consists of ground, first and second floors, 3 properties in total. There are 3 blocks and we are located in the middle of this small and quiet cul de sac.

It is less than a 5 minute walk to Carbis Bay Beach where you will find a cafe serving hot and cold food, drinks, ice creams and homemade cakes in addition to kayak hire on the beach (depending on the time of year).

The train station is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and the coastal path is on the doorstep!

No Pets.

A deposit of 20% of the total price is required to secure the property and the balance is due 4 weeks before the holiday start date.

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required with your final payment, to be refunded within 7 days of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

For bookings arriving within 6 weeks, payment must be made in full.

Only Saturday to Saturday bookings are accepted between March and October.

Short breaks (min. 2 nights) are accepted between October and March or at late notice outside these periods
3 night breaks are calculated at 60% of the weekly rate, 4 nights - 70%, 5 nights - 80%, 6 nights - 90%.
Short breaks not accepted during peak weeks unless at short notice

Why not try a weekend break out of season: weekly rate typically £400 so you pay £240 for the weekend (3 nights)

Carbis Bay is a perfect retreat for those wanting a quiet, relaxing holiday with the convenience of being close to the hustle and bustle of St Ives. The blue flag beach has excellent facilities, safe bathing, kayak rental and is perfect for families.

St Ives has 4 beaches including Porthmeor, a blue flag beach which is ideal for surfing; Porthgwidden, a small sandy cove and a real sun trap; the Harbour beach which is located in the heart of the town and the blue flag family beach of Porthminster.

In addition there is the less touristy Porthkidney beach at Lelant (to the right of the apartment), not to mention the sweeping sands of the Bluff, Towans and Gwithian, curving around to the spectacular Godrevy lighthouse.

Seals are frequent visitors to Carbis Bay and St Ives and are regularly spotted showing off to the crowds. Porpoise and Dolphins can also be seen at various times of the year either from the shore or by the regular boat trips operated from the harbour.

Having become a haven for artists, the area boasts numerous galleries and craft shops including the famous Tate Gallery located on Porthmeor beach, the Bernard Leach Pottery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.

For children there is a surf school, an indoor pool and leisure centre, playzone, horseriding, a cinema and boat trips. The area also has its own golf course overlooking the sea, breathtaking coastal walks and nature reserve at Hayle Estuary.

With some of the mildest winters and warmest summers in Britain and Northern Europe, Carbis Bay really is a great holiday location at any time of year.

“Beautiful property, would highly recommend.” We had a lovely week at Seaview. The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished, was spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you need and the views are stunning. Seaview is situated well for access into St Ives by car, train or via the coastal path. We would recommend staying at Seaview and have told friends and family. Booking was easy and the welcome basket of goodies on arrival was a really lovely touch and very yummy!!

“Beatifully presented apartment in excellent location” We were very impressed with your beautiful apartment. It was the best presented holiday home we have stayed in. Everything was so clean and fresh and the position with its lovely views and proximity to the train line was ideal. We struggled to think of anything that could be improved - there was only one thing we missed - a milk jug! We will certainly recommend it to our friends - although on the other hand maybe we will keep it to ourselves! The weather was great as well so all in all we had a perfect holiday. “We have booked again!” We arrived to a beautifully furnished clean and spacious apartment that is well equipped for a family holiday. A basket of goodies on the table was a lovely treat for all to enjoy. Carbis bay beach was wonderful for young and older children with golden sands and a fresh water river that occupied hours of fun. The railway link to St Ives made a trip out for a glass of wine by the harbour and easy option. Cornwall has a lot to offer and many fun places to explore and visit and although we visited a good many we still feel there is so much more to see. Seaview apartment is everything and more that you could wish for, well equipped and a prime location. We loved it so much that we would like to book for the following year.

“Perfection” We felt compelled to write our first review after the perfection of "Seaview". We can only endorse reviews already posted. Exceptionally clean,in fact it is the first time I have been into an apartment without washing all crockery first! No tea stained mugs! The walk into St.Ives, starting a couple of minutes away from the apartment was delightful with an enjoyable £1 train ride back (we are pensioners) with the station also a couple of minutes away from the apartment. We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

“Fantastic Apartment” This holiday destination was a complete surprise for my wife! She knew we were going on holiday but not where! As we travelled from Brixham she suggested various destinations en route but had no conclusive idea when I asked if we could spend a few minutes diverting off the main road to Carbis Bay.. I parked the car in the block private car park on the premise that I was just popping up the stairs to see something I'd discovered on the net. Open the front door of the Apt and went down to persuade her to have a look at the views from up there! When she climbed the stairs I just shoved her through the open door ..... her face was a complete picture and then she realised that we were home for the week! She wandered the apt and her comments ranged from "WOW" to "Are we really staying here?" Each room she went in made her smile even more. Thank you for planning the Apt the way you have. It really is something special!!! Although we come from Devon we don't indulge ourselves very often with a cream tea so the very first snack we had was your Cornish Cream tea .... everything from the welcome pack on the kitchen table .... Cornish scones, Cornish cream (in the Fridge of course), Strawberry jam and that Bottle of Wine ... Bliss I think the best review we can give is that on the way home we very seriously thought about selling up our 3 bedroom house and asking if we could buy the Apt, move in and live there all the time ..... AND we'd have nothing to do re furnishing or decor. Thank you

“Perfect place for Cornwall holiday” I stayed at Seaview with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in April. We were impressed by the lovely photographs, but reality was even better. The apartment is immaculate, tastefully decorated, comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The location is very convenient for traveling around southwest Cornwall. The views are extraordinary. The welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated after an all-day drive. The owners were very responsive and helpful with the booking. We hope to return to beautiful Cornwall someday and we would definitely stay at Seaview again.

“High Standard Apartment, excellent location, furnishings, cleanliness.” Excellent High Standard Apartment Exceptionally clean Furnishings modern and new Bedding light and crispy, like they had never been used before. To some up the apartment, it made you feel like you where the first people to use it. It made your holiday that extra special. I would, and have, recommended this to my family and friends. Welcome gifts of clotted cream, jam and scones, always a winner.

“Exceptional accomodation in a lovely place” This excellent apartment helped to make our holiday in Carbis Bay very relaxing and enjoyable. It is light, very spacious and extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated and most thoughtfully furnished and equipped. On arrival we found everything to be immaculate and the nice touches of a bottle of wine, local goodies and a handwritten card from the owners made us feel very welcome. We immediately noted that "Seaview" does indeed live up to its name: the only rooms without a stunning view of the sea are the bathroom and shower room! I think the owners' attention to detail and consideration for their guests must be second to none. We had some work to do while we were there, and so the wi fi was a great advantage. My teenage son loved the TVs! I loved the oak furniture and the local artwork on the walls which gave a real "seaside" feel to the place. The standard of the apartment, together with its excellent location slightly apart from the relatively busy beach area, made it impossible to fault. Carbis Bay is an ideal location for a Cornwall holiday. The view as you come down the hill towards the apartment is one you won't forget! The beach is fantastic with lovely clear water and clean, soft sand. It's much quieter than St Ives, but if you want a more lively atmosphere all you have to do is take a train for the short distance (the station is only a few seconds walk from the apartment) or walk along the coastal path. St Ives is great in the evening with lots of good restaurants. Do go to the Minack Theatre (book in advance and get there early to get good seats!) - it's amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience even in the rain! I would recommend Carbis Bay and "Seaview" without hesitation to any friends thinking of holidaying in this area.

“Paradise found - once you have stayed here you will never want to leave” This apartment was tastefully decorated and luxuriously fitted out. Thoughtful touches like welcome basket of goodies and milk and wine in fridge and cupboards full of books and board games as well as any products from sandwich bags to surfboards you may need whilst away. Communication with owners Ashley and Claire - first rate. Incredibly close to beach and train to St Ives. Wonderful walks along coast path and views over St Ives and Godrevy Lighthouse are stunning. We did not want to leave this little piece of paradise and will definitely return asap.

“A beautiful apartment with stunning views and equipped to the highest standard” We booked Seaview for a month to be in Cornwall for our daughter's wedding and were therefore very careful with our choice, it had to tick all of the boxes, location, size, decor and be as close to a 'home from home' as possible, we found that it was all of those things and more. The owners have gone to such lengths to furnish the apartment with a stylish seaside theme so in keeping with Cornwall, and have not spared any expense with audio, furnishings, bed linen and towels etc, they are all of the highest quality. The views are stunning, and the location perfect for access to the beautiful beach of Carbis Bay. Ashley and Claire were very attentive throughout the process of making our booking and a real pleasure to deal with. We can only thank you both for helping to make our stay in Cornwall so special, you deserve to be busy with the attention to detail given to making Seaview very different from the rest. “Perfect, home from home accommodation in a wonderful location” Better than expected apartment in a fabulous location for the beach and local St Ives. It really did feel like home from home with excellent attention to detail and cleanliness. Large airy rooms and the bonus of an en suite in the master bedroom made for an ideal family stay. We were really impressed with the contact with the owner from initial enquiry right through to post holiday questions we had. The kitchen was fitted out with everything we needed and plenty of fluffy towels and soft bedding would make even the fussiest of guest smile. A real gem of a find and we sincerely hope it doesn't get so popular that we cant return and that the cleanliness of the lovely cream carpets and sofa can stay at such a high level!
