About this location
The Cornwall region
Cornwall has long been one of the most popular holiday destinations in England., and in the last decade Cornwall has emerged as one of the world's iconic destinations. With dramatic coastlines, sheltered bays, beautiful beaches, and probably the mildest climate in the UK, Cornwall has so much to offer holidaymakers. Surfing, walking, sailing, fishing, culture, restaurants, or simply relaxing, it's all here for young and old alike.
St. Ives in Cornwall is perhaps the most beautiful coastal town in the South West, full of history, art, and four of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall. The town has a superb selection of restaurants, cafes, and pubs and has developed a very cosmopolitan feel together with an art and cultural scene which acts as a magnet for visitors from all over the world.
St Ives has been named the Guardian seaside town of the year, 2007. Alongside 11 other short listed coastal towns and cities from around Britain and Ireland, St Ives faced an intense grilling by a star-studded panel of judges which included Bill Bryson and Rick Stein as well as John Betjeman’s daughter, Candida Lycett Green. But the combination of St Ives’ golden, Atlantic washed beaches, artistic draw and strong cultural identity made it a clear choice for the coveted title.

"Superb apartment - excellent views"
We arrived in the dark on a wet Friday night so it was a lovely surprise when we awoke in the morning to see the great view from the bedroom and the living room. We were travelling with friends and we particularly liked having en-suite in all the rooms. The apartment was suitably furnished for our needs - plenty of room for us to sit around chatting. It was also very close to the harbour and the shops and restaurants - just what we needed for a short break away. Will definitely recommend and hope to come back again soon.
