The Cottage is situated in the very heart of the much sought after Downalong area within minutes of numerous bars, coffee shops and restaurants.


Location, Location, Location - Turn left out of the front door and you are moments away from two stunning 'blue flag' sandy beaches (Porthmeor and Porthgwidden) Turn right and you are less than a minute away from the famous and bustling harbour front.

The Property has 3 Bedrooms which sleeps 6. Two Double Bedrooms with En-suites and a Twin room.

There is a lounge, kitchen/diner and a downstairs cloakroom. There is also a shared gated court yard at the back.

The cottage has underfloor heating in the living room to warm your feet after those bare foot beach strolls.

The kitchen is really set up for proper cooking and there is a great fishmonger literally around the corner. Alternatively the local fisherman will sell you fish straight from their boat on their return to the harbour wharf.

A housekeeper is on call 24 hours a day and there is the option for those staying for two weeks to have the cottage cleaned and the linen changed midway through their stay.

All linen and towels (not beach) are provided. There is Freeview TV, a coffee machine, DVD player, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Iron/Ironing Board, Cook/Walking books, Beach Wind break.

The West Country / Cornwall region

St. Ives was voted the best seaside resort in England. Situated on the north coast it is a favourite haunt for surfers and artists. St. Ives has retained a touch of class about it and once visted you will find it hard not to return year after year. St. Ives has won numerous awards for beaches and has some of the best eating establishments in the region.

The St Ives / Downalong area

The cottage is situated in the very heart of the ancient downalong area of St. Ives. You are moments away from two wonderful beaches. Porthmeor beach is a 'blue flag' beach and on its day is one of the best surfing beaches in England. Porthgwiddeen Beach, which is less than a minutes walk from the cottage, is a family beach and is much more calm and sheltered. It also has great facilities.

There are many ghost walks in and around the St. Ives area which take place in the evening.

There are many coastal walks to be had in and around St. Ives. There is also a train ride from St Erith to St. Ives that follows the edge of the coast which is said to be one of the most beautiful and scenic in the whole of England.

The St. Ives festival takes place during the month of September which is always a fun time to be around.

After passing the Hayle roundabout on the A30 turn off at the next roundabout signed towards St Ives on the A3074. Follow this road past the station and down the hill. Keep following this road down until you get to the harbour front.
Continue along the harbour front with the sea on your right until you get to the sloop pub near the end of the harbour where you will turn left up Fish street! You are heading towards the Island car park and the sign often says full but it will usually have spaces.
